Has anyone tried the new Yamaha ice scratchers?

I haven't tried them but I did hear there was recall on them. Had a conversation with a guy on the trail just yesterday and he said he went to the dealer for a set and they have been recalled. Second hand info so I am no sure if this is right or not.

My dealer told me that they were recalled for breaking where they mount on the machine. These were the TRIC ice scratchers, which look really great on the pictures, but i guess they didnt quite work out. Don't they test these things before they hit the market?
