Has anyone thought about an Northern Ny Ride Or an Adirondack Park ride?? If so let me know.

Hey 06Rage. Myself and a few others had tried doing a good NY ride for the last three years running, never too good of a showing. Three years ago we did have a good turnout, about 15-20 riders but we have not been able to duplicate as good of a group ride, usually yielding about 4 or 5 sleds.
First official New York TY ride (2003) we were based out of of Montague Inn in Lowville and we rode in a different direction every day (east towards Stillwater Reservoir, west to Lake Ontario, south towards southern end of the Hill) and it was great meeting and riding with the Yamaha bretherin from the site
We even proposed a bagger trip leaving Montague Inn, riding across the Adirondacks, though Tupper Lake and Cranberry Lake, and ending up in Lake Clear (Charlies Inn) and staying the night, then riding back the next day. But weather (lack of snow for all the riding areas we'd be passing through) had hindered us each of the times we planned that type of trip.
But I am fully on board if a NY ride does come together. I will keep an eye on the post to see what becomes of it. I am sure other TY'ers from NY that I ride with would be interested as well.
I am up for riding whenever/wherever.

I'll be up as usual, but this year I propose delaying it until February or at least until we know we will get decent snow. It seems like the last couple of years we have totally gotten cheated with low/no snow conditions, so maybe if we are only going to have one official ride we wait until later in the season to get the best chance at having decent snow.

Indy, I still keep in contact with Dana now and again. I tried and tried to get the guy out on his sled for a ride last winter....nothing doing.
We'll see what happens this year! I'll start twisting his arm again soon and let him know he is being looked for on the next New York TY ride...or we are coming to get him and drag him out for a ride!

I can make it Jan. 22-24th, but not the 20,&21. The ride I have planned is Feb27-march 1. That is a Wed.-Sat(It is leap year next year). Riders so far for that ride are, Steve, Dana, Dave Siegenthaler, and myself. Not sure where we are riding. Might just go a different direction from my area each day. West to Lake Ontario one day. South to Waterville, hamilton, Cazanovia ares another day. East to Piseco, and Dolgeville another day, and maybe North the Fourth day. So if anyone can go on that trip in late Feb. to March 1st, let me know. See you on the trail, Gordon
