Some one posted this fix about six months ago, just wanted to say thank you to whoever it was and post a photo for the rest that havent done it yet. It is very simple and it works.

The fix is the small O ring on the left side of the roller bolt, click on photo to enlarge.

So for us clutch newbies is it really as easy as loosening the bolt installing the O ring and re-tightening?

If so what size O ring and what torque on re tighten?

Thanks

Yamadoo

Yes,

Its as easy as removing the nut, placing a small "O" ring that I bought at Home Depot on the bolt and re-installing the nut. My torque wrench doesnt go that small so no idea on the torque.

I tried it and it eliminates the rattle. However, I have been unable to keep the o-rings inplace, they were gone after the first ride. Must be the harmonics of 3 cylinder engine generate more rattle then then Apex models. A small washer washer would be ideal.

X2.....

Maybe I got better O rings because mine have been in around 300 miles and look fine. I used small ones, barely large enouph inside diameter to fit over the bolt, then crushed it down hard with the bolt.

I had mine running tonight and all the covers were off and I said to my buddy, OMG is the ckutch loud!! Thanks, I'll add those tomorrow!

I also tried it , but can't keep the o rings in they came out on first ride but it did work for a little bit

I posted it...it was my idea....you can get a thin nylon washer to act as a keeper for the O ring...

I used the thin nylon washers #10's from lowes and put them on both sides . I have 700 miles on them and no problems and they are still there.

Nylon washers AND O-Rings? Or just the washers?
