it is important my steering effort is minimal and floatations is much needed. Coming from powder hounds this thing is a tank in powder.
I have compared every brand there is. But does anyone have mod skis?
I reverse engineered my skis, rubber, spindle and sent it over to him. He is working hard to get me a set before this weekends Ty ride.
This forum sold me on trying them out.

Seems to be a lot of negativity on those skis out there too... as in dangerous to use on anything icy or hard packed.
Shipping out today! Thanks Lance for getting them ready.
Just got 60 miles on mine today finally with the simmons and dual 8" carbides - what a diff sled it is it will turn and no darting.

I have been google searching skis for over a week. Please send me the negative links you read on mods skis. Weird all my searching could not find that.
Cut powder pros all day. Best to date trail ski. Darting almost gone.
Flotation, better then stock for sure, the viper nose dives every time. Nothing compared to powder hounds on a apex
Powder turning, sled turns sharp when nose isn't barrier.
Day two, laid my 7.5 riser back 3" to see if my turning effort goes away.

Love my C&As, have them on my Apex and Nytro.

C&A's not for me. Had two sets over the years and thought they were the best. Then decided to try others. Don't get me wrong, any aftermarket is better the stock, but setup is as important.
Going straight to any deep keel ski will be good if you want to muscle it around all day. I personally can't.
Rolled by riser back, wow what a difference to steering effort that made.
Really enjoyed riding it.
My current setup. 125lbs rear shock, center stock position, 65lbs front shocks, 7" risers rolled back 3", limiter straps stock position, mods skis.

Familyman, when you say rolled back 3", I'm assuming you mean towards the windshield???
Yes 3" back from what - there is no stock position cause they arrive at the dealer with the bars off. Are you 3" back towards you from inline with the steering shaft?
ya, towards me. Now I went to a 7.5 riser and tilted towards myself. Came from port straight up and down.
Keeping it closes to the angle the steering shaft is = less steering effort. gaining 1.875 in height per AutoCAD.
(closer, taller, easier to steer) Win Win
