I'm wanting to clean up the factory tunnel extension('05 vec. mnt.) with a 156 or 159 kit and would like to see pics of anyone that has done this. I would like the 159" but won't be upgrading the track for some time and don't want something that looks way outa place... any thoughts? Thanks.

I would go with the 159. You really can't tell the diff, and when you want a longer track, you will not have to change the tunnel ext again. I will try to post pics of my tunnel ext later.

I would get the longer one, I ordered mine for a 162 and it is too short, perfect for a 159" though.

I talked with Hartman today and I think I'll go with a 159". He said it should look fine even with the 151" under it for a while.

My next question is, how hard is it to sell an almost new(247 miles) 151" stock track? I'm pondering just plunking the money down and getting the 159" tunnel extension and a 156" track....

If you got pics, post em please!!!

You shouldn't have any trouble selling that track. I just sold my 159 in about a week. Last year I sold my 151 very quickly also.

What is a 151" worth? Hartman wants about 500-600 for a fully clipped 2 1/4"X159"

I got $300 out of my track last year. With it being new and if it does not have any damage, you should be able to get that out of yours. Try the classifieds here and on Snowest. You could also try E-bay. Good luck

Here is a 151 with a 159 Hartman extention, its a little long but has never been an issue

Thanks for the pics. I went ahead and ordered the 159" tunnel extension today. Not sure what I'm going to do about my track. The best solution would be if I could find someone do to an even trade with... Hartman said I could go with a 159"X15X2" fine with a stock motor. I do plan on blowing it in a season or two.

What can I start doing to sled before the kit comes? remove seat, exhaust covers, derivet rear heat exchanger....?

Duge, spinning a 159 with the stock motor is no problem. Did it for half a season while waiting for my turbo kit.

Couldn't wait for the extension to arrive so I started tearing my sled apart. Pretty easy. Took about 30 minutes and a nice sliced hand. Wear gloves!!!
