For those that have done different skids in your sleds, give me your thoughts if this would work to use as a template. I was thinking of useing sme cardboard and once you have all the measurements cut it out and slide up tight to the drive shaft, then slide the top to the top of the tunnel boom all your holes are lines up.

I have never done this so there may things in the way or something preventing this from happening but I'm trying to get a accurate measurement from the CENTER of the drive shaft. I'm peronally doing a edge into a 03 rx1 so I got all the measurements from this link EXCEPT the top of the tunnel to the top of the drive shaft:

Thanks!!

This is a better design template then it doesn't matter if I get the dimension from the top of the drive shaft.

Thoughts?

I put an edge skid in mine. Just so you are aware on an edge just behind the rear bolt hole their tunnel bends up two inches for travel ,on rx-1 the tunnel is straight so you have to mount both holes equally lower so the back of the track doesn't bottom out

Cool thanks for the tip. If I made the template above and ran it tight to the DS then pivoted the template up or down (ie the top would not be touching the top of the tunnel), it would set my ride height and I could pick up the 2" or so correct?

How did you make your measurements? Thanks!

Take these measurements in the prescribed fashion and you can install any skid into an RX-1.

Thanks I have all the dimensions except Y1 and was hoping to be able to just but a template up to the Jackshaft and just pivot it around that to set my ride height?

Those with a edge skid can you tell me what Y1 is? Thanks!

Y1 was 6.5" on mine from an Edge chassis sled. That's from the underside of the tunnel to the centerline of the driveshaft. YOU will transcribe these dimensions to your RX-1 by measuring from the tunnel protectors-down. You have to treat the tunnel protectors as your theoretical "top of tunnel".

The rest of the dims will be off from yours though since I have a 136" skid and the mounting points are apparently different from the 121" version.

Are you having any luck with the swap? Pics?
