Coldwave modular luggage

Anyone have experience with the coldwave modular luggage? I have the Yamaha conbination saddlebags but they are pretty small. Anyone know if the Coldwave is that much bigger (or any other brand). Looking at taking a couple of week long trips.

Cold wave

I'm big on Cold wave. I believe they make GREAT products. Super quality at a good price. I ride with their gear and love it. I ordered the saddle bag set up for our Attaks after seeing the bags in person at a dealer (real Nice ;)!) . I have received the bags but I'm still waiting for the mounting saddle. I expect the saddle soon and will post pics when I can. Check out their handle bar bag set-up. I ordered a couple and they are already on back order. :o|
 
I really like the bar set-up. I think putting a tank bag on takes away from the sled over all. I like how the map folds up and out of the way. The gps and cell phone set-up is slick too. The back-order release is in 2 weeks.
 
I just mounted the coldwave modular bags to my APEX. I'm not at all happy with them and will be returning the set. They don't have fleece on the bag where they touch the exhaust covers. Also there is nothing to keep the bag from bouncing up and down over bumps... They will flop up and down and beat the painted exhaust covers to death.

They don't seem like they were designed with the apex in mind. Disappointing.. :(

I have been using the soft Sport Saddle Bags from Yamaha on my old RX-1 & plan on switching them over to my ATTAK. I have been able to make due with these, & the tank bag in years past (for 2 or 3 night trips). However if anyone has found another option that will give me a little more room I would definitely look at changing, as the Yamaha ones are a little small. At least the ATTAK has some room in a seat trunk which gives me a little more than the RX-1 did. Every little bit helps.
 
Well after looking around, I decided to go with the Choko brand. I ordered them last night and should see them by the end of the week. I will install them and shoot pictures so you can see them. 3 pieces for $100.00.
 
I use the Yammy tank bag with the removeable pouch (holds more than you might think) for day trips and on loops I use the Yamaha semi-ridgid saddle bags....They hold a ton of stuff. Also, for an extra change of undies or two, I just picked up a Yamaha trunk bag....Should have enough space to LIVE on the trail...Woooo Whoooooooo! :-o
 
Luggage

I just installed mine the other day. I'm happy with the quality. The fit on the apex body could be better. I agree with dang and will attach the lower strap to the sled to keep the bags from flapping like bird wings in the rough stuff. I plan to use them only on overnight trips. I do like how they are easy to remove.
