Are we going to have one this season? I'm so impatient!
I'm riding now, lol. Come on out and sit on the side lines big guy :moon: . Lakercr has been out at the track a couple of weekends now and he'll be throwing one of his other brands of sled out on there for the fun of it. Come on out and make a camping weekend of it and we'll enjoy a few smokies over the campfire with a few :drink: !!!!!!

As for the 2008 ride, I'm in!!!!

If work lets me swing it I will be there as well. Are we going to have a ride this year or is Brian taking a year off?

Not sure what Brian is up too! With the poor turnout last year maybe he is rethinking the ride.

I will say I'm going to be in Manitoba to ride, Not sure where but I'll be there. Maybe if Brian is out we will have to pick a spot and sled from there.

I am not sure what I will be doing about the ride this year myself. I seem to accumulated some side projects that should be big for the future of snowmobilng in Manitoba. The downside is that between that and trying to work for a living I may not have much time for riding.

I plan to invest some time in organizing something for ths year but it will be on an inconsistent time table so bear with me.

I would say plan around Feb20th to23rd. With that constant we can all try to get together at the same time even if it is just for boot down the trails and if it all works out that will be the official ride dates.Because of my situation I would like to suggest that we use the Beausejour superior inn for this year again. (I am already thinkng about a different format but do not have the time to organize it for this year.)

I am wondering how long is the drive?

I live an 1 1/2 south of you and was suprised to see you respond and was wondering if its 'doable".

How is the riding and snow compared to Michigan?

Man I can't wait.

Beausejour is an 8 hour drive from Minneapolis. The trails are the best in my opinion. Lots of variety, very little traffic, and always in excellent condition. To view some pictures, check out the links below from the 2005 and 2006 TY Ride.

During the 2006 TY ride, Impalapower and I rode 1600 miles in 7 days. Last season with Bever Fever, I rode 1300 miles in 5 days. I think we saw about 3 bumps the whole time. One day in 2006, we rode 300 miles and only saw 2 others sleds, and they were on a trailer. Compare that with the U.P. ;)!

I should also mention that when SRXTwins (Brian) plans a ride, it is always a great time. He does a lot of preparation to ensure the visitors have a great ride.

Brian does an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME JOB, those would be VERY BIG SHOES TO FILL. With my work schedule, I'm not even sure I'll be riding in it again this year. As Guiding takes up 16 weeks of my time and doesn't leave me with much time left to ride now other than weekends. I help out Brian with the last day lunch, as he has things more than under control most of the time.

BTW...........We Have World Class Trails

Thank you guys for the very kind words. After just returnng from a very bad week out of town reading those nice words was just what I needed.
