I sold a 2011 Apex and bought a 2012 RS Vector. I finally realized at 80 that I don't need that top end any more. I like the Vector so much more. Feels Lighter, easier to handle, much better fuel mileage, and probably will keep up with the Apex up to 60. Perfect sled for the trail riding that we do.
I am currently riding a RS Vector with Power Steering. I am thinking about moving up to a Viper and am disappointed that the 2022 non turbo Viper doesn't include Power Steering. Not having ridden a Viper, is power steering necessary? There is an aftermarket Power Steering kit available. Does...
For those of you who have ridden a RS Vector LTX and now ride a Viper LTX-GT.
Are the improvements, Quality, ride, etc. worth moving up to the new machine?
Thanks for your reply.

Just finished changing the donuts on my 2012 Vector LTX with 4000 miles. I wanted to check them and get the sled ready for next year.

I have had Apexs and Now a Viper. Lubricate every bushing with a couple drops of oil before every ride. I have never seen any wear on my bushings. I lubricate every moveable point on the front and the rear. Remember to lubricate the bolts where the spindles attach to the ski. I have always...

I just bought a 2012 Vector LTX with the monoshock rear suspension, and learning how to set it up. Unfortunately not much snow. I think that it does take some time to break in. I would think that the transfer rod set to min. would make it ride harder. I think that it almost completely couples...
Looks interesting. I have used that spring in my Apex in the past.
I installed a WSW in my Vector , but have not had a chance to use it.
The YPY has even less preload and slightly less total force.
I will look forward to trying the the YPY after trying the WSW.
Thanks for the information.

I just bought a 2012 Vector LTX and the first thing that I noticed was the abrupt clutch engagement. The clutch also had a rattle.
I disassembled the complete clutch, cleaned, and changed from a WWW primary spring to a White Silver White primary spring.
Now the clutch engages at around 3000 and...
