We started the transition to BRP in '23 with my wife's new sled after she totaled her Venture. She was very happy with it and I spent some time on it too. I liked it enough to order my '24 MXZ 850 Turbo. I still planned to keep the SW and shortly after spring order Yamaha announced their end...
Current miles are not too far off. I ride more than he does. When mine was brand new it was worse. It has loosened up some but not like his.
Makes sense, I haven't messed with mine at all. I ordered a '25 so my '21 is for sale. Will be interesting how the '25 runs with him. He's planning on...
My friends '17 is faster than my '21. Really not sure why other than my '21 has always felt really tight compared to his. No parking brake needed on mine when parked on a hill. His will roll down plus another 100 yards lol.
The SE shocks could be my problem. We have one LE in our group, and have rode his SW, but I'm not sure I noticed a difference and honestly wasn't paying attention. I'm planning on ordering a '25 SRX so if I'm able to secure one, my '21 will go down the road.
Could be, not sure anyone has had a chance to compare. So far I have less recalls than my Boost friends lol
Thanks, happy so far but this will be my first trip with it. Heading to Cable WI. I agree the forecast looks dismal. My weekends in Jan are full of non sled related stuff with my first...
Still no snow anywhere near me this year so nothing to report on the 850 turbo.
This thread is comical to say the least. I still think most here are missing the point of this new sled. It was never intended to be the "Lake King". It's designed to be a fast bump sled. Is it faster on the trail...
It will be fun to compare the 2 machines. We have 2 other Winder's in our group and they are looking forward to running me. All machines are stock. Interestingly, the '17 SW in our group is the fastest of the 3.
I noticed that too. I'd have to watch it again but it looks like it's not there when he started but showed up during disassembly. To me it looks like rusty water that dried. It appears to be on the plastic also.
I won one at the Giveaway Ride and installed it at the beginning of last season. I'll also be pulling mine apart in the next couple weeks for inspection.
