I use Wix 51358 filter and any Euro Spec 0-40 Syn Oil Amsoil or Mobile doesn't really matter.
Rock Auto for filters about 7.50 each and 3.5 qts oil.
Gear lube 90-140 Amsoil from a 5 gal bucket. Not sure how much due to using a pump.
Change every year regardless of miles. Its cheap insurance.
You may need to tighten the ski spring to rock the sled back and loosen the rear track spring presure to move the weight off the skis. Think of the sled as a teeter toter and the handle bars as the center.
Its very hard to say where your startin from. Not your fault just who knows who set the sled up.
You need a base line. As crude as this may sound, use your bathroom scale and place it under each ski center and each track shock contact point at the ground and write down the weight of each point...
Try to start with while applying presure to the throttle lightly.
Not so much as to give it gas only to activate the sensor.
It could be your throttle position sensor. They can be touchy.
I feel for you.
With a new to you but used sled, you dont know if its the flash, stale gas or bad relay.
Dont know it you can pull a vin history to see how much warranty work was performed or not. Dont know how that works with sleds.
I know alot of you think Im crazy, but the wifes 2014 7000...
I haven't done our 14 7000 only because it hasn't had any issues other than idle rpm search and the extreme cold relay fault.
I was thinking of doing this one if there were no side effects.
I think Ill wait for further better responses. Sure hope this pans out for everyone.
No one should have...
This weekend in the UP my wife stated she would like a taller windshield on her 7000.
Yami has a better selection from looking at other sleds. Will they fit the cat?
If so which flows air at face or higher to keep her warm?
