    Stud location

I know guys stud their tracks right through the Quiet Pads without issue but I didn't like the way my studs were cocked off to the side with a piece of a Quiet Pad under the head so I made a cutting tool out of a stud. Started this process on my 2017 RTX-LE and have done several more since. Easy...

    Secondary clutch bushing failure

Exact same thing happened to me last winter. Pictures look the same. First time that I have ever been left stranded on a Yamaha....can't even blame it on Cat DNA....Yamaha clutches. I installed a new replacement bushing with Loctite and it started to move so I am going to try an Oilite bushing...

Vendors at the Toronto snowmobile show

Hey Ben, hoping to meet the TD crew at the Toronto show. I have your EcoTrail flash and thinking about upgrading to your PowerTrail flash. Any chance you will bring / have the equipment to flash our ECU's right at the show?? Sure would save a bunch of time shipping etc.

    Watch turbo bolt

I found 2 bolts in the belly pan while changing my oil for spring storage. Hunted everywhere and once I removed my exhaust it was apparent that they were from the turbo mount casting, nuts were totally gone. My turbo bolts were torqued before my first ride but I never checked casting mount...

    Anyone else low on coolant?

I added about 8 oz of coolant over the winter and couldn't figure out where it was going. Finally found leak in the metal coolant tank located on right side just forward and above chaincase. It appears to be leaking from between the mating surfaces as all screws and hose clamps are tight. I...

Sidewinder what to do about clutch

My stock spring was GOLD/RED/GOLD but I am running Dalton adjustable weights. The spring I used required weights to be adjust as RPM was too high. Sounds like Jonlafon1 is recommending Yamaha''s YLW/GRN/YLW and Glide washers for stock Setup?? Maybe he could chime in??

Sidewinder what to do about clutch

Update....I called Turbo Dynamics to see if they have noticed this problem. Ben was a great help and a wealth of knowledge!! He recommended a primary spring that is slightly shorter with larger diameter spring wire. I installed the recommended spring and was able to put a few hundred miles on...

Sidewinder what to do about clutch

I have the same vibration. I am running Turbo Dynamics EcoTrail package with Dalton Weights and Super Quiet muffler and Cat rollers on my RTX-LE. My symptoms became more apparent this weekend to the point where it was making a growl like a drive bearing was about to fail but the noise would come...
