You can run them from the old Pro-Action chassis. The part number should pop up say if you were to look at an online fiche for either a Viper, SRX, etc. I personally prefer the narrow slides on my Apex.

I find it easiest to twist the helix itself to separate the sheaves on the secondary. A second set of hands does help but is not absolutely necessary in a pinch. It's a good thing a guy doesn't blow many belts on these Yamahas. Still on my original at 4600 miles, but may change it before next...
I like my Skinz trail series a lot. I do agree they interfere with the use of the bar hooks for cornering but it sure is nice to keep some of that wind off your hands!

If only my fractured hip would permit me to ride any more this year. Conditions last weekend up in borderland were good, and I'm sure things are probably just as good if not better over towards the lake. Enjoy the riding and maybe I'll catch you next season!
