    ECU and mileage

I might been a little vague. My question was if the running hours is stored in the ecu so that the running hours will ramain after a instrument cluster replacement.

    ECU and mileage

Hi, I bought a used Sidewinder this weekend. The seller said that the instrument cluster had been replaced so the milage are to low. He also said that the hours is stored in the ECU so the hours are right. Does anyone know how and where this things are stored?

    Pulverized Rail tips

I drove like 200 km this weekend and all seems good now. I have replaced: Rails, slides, railtips, antistab axle incl wheels, drivers. Also, I had to mount 23 new track clips as they had vanished. I can't see any wear on the tips or slides.

    Mounting track clips

I lost a lost of track clips, about half of them. You can see my other thread about my problems. What is the best tool to mount new clips? I have looked at the woody's tool...

    Pulverized Rail tips

Yes, I always use the ice scratchers when i'm not in the pow. I have a pair of brp scratches that I will mount as well. The torque arm is straight, as far as I can measure (cross measure, etc). The sled has Maptun 270 hp kit and it might be to much for the drivers. However, I order new...

    Pulverized Rail tips

I think this is the root cause. The drivers are not straight. This may cause the track to "stick" on the drivers and crerate a loop that wears the railtips down.....

    Pulverized Rail tips

After the last pictures i mounted new rail-tips, shortened the limiter strap, adjusted the track tension to spec, loose the centre spring. This is what I found after two days of riding in deep snow. Both rails where bent One rail is cracked Booth drivers are severely worn The track (which is...

    Pulverized Rail tips

Yes, something is wrong here, but i can't find out what it is. I have found a couple of threads here that suggest that the rail-tips are hitting the drivers. But i don't think is't the case. Somehow the track is wearing on the slides and rail-tips. The drivers are pretty worn as well and might...

    Pulverized Rail tips

I do have anti-stab wheels. I have the limiter strap on the middle hole, so I can shorten it by a hole. I wonder it is a good idea to move the suspension to the lower hole (back)? See pictures:

    Pulverized Rail tips

Hello, When I replaced the track I noticed that the rail tips where shot so I replace them as well. Now after like 200 km the rail trips are shot again. When I go over high bumps I can hear a strange vibration and I suspect that when the front shock is fully extended and the rear shock is fully...

Month old sidewinder shop tells me I need a new tunnel

If the tunnel is bent you should be able to measure it. There are six points to measure. Front and rear mountings and driveshaft, both side. Distance and then cross (parallell). I have the same problem. The track is hitting the tunnel and eating my drives. The dealer says its all normal. So i...

    Switch guards

Hello, I tend to switch of the grip heater with my belly.... (power belly.....) while standing up. Yamaha/AC sells a switch guard that can be glued on. It is a small frame that protects the buttons. Have anyone tried this? My reverse switch tend to freeze. I have to blow on to get it to...

Vibrates when coming to a stop

Yupp, that is what I got. If I let off the throttle slowly it does not rattle. When idling down from a steep hill it rattles. Mine is at the dealer, so we just have to wait and see.
