I think I’ve seen it recently. Funny, when I dropped the sled off to that dealer I asked them to check that out. That’s when they told me the IAC VALVE WAS BAD. That’s a whole other story. Anyway..... thanks for your input. This forum is really great!

Haven’t yet. Had it at a dealer couple weeks ago. They didn’t think it was valves. Not saying they were right though. I’m trying to decide what to do with it. Might broom it.

No power commander for me. I just thought maybe the settings were off. Everything appears to be good. Still isn’t great on startup. Thought maybe this could be why. We put over 1200 miles on last week. It’s not that the sled runs bad. Just won’t stay idling on its own until low temp light quits...

That was correct. I checked it , it was 0 %

Years ago I remember a thread about stalling and a way to access some throttle related settings. Any body remember or know about this. I remember there were some values that could be changed. I’d like to check mine and see if they are all stock.

Well, we’ve been in the UP now a full day. Have about 300 or so miles on. Sled is great once it’s started. Still won’t do it totally on its own. It does start but after it runs for 10-15 seconds the rpms go from 1600 to around 12-1100, then just fizzles out. So, the IAC valve really didn’t do...

I have 2 threads going. There is a larger one under the Yamaha general forum. That one actually has quite a bit more info. My thought process was that I was hoping more eyes- more answers. I have had many many great ideas and help so far

When I get back I still want to find out if the IAC valve from 2008 Nytro is the same as the Viper

These days, wouldn’t take much! Lol! I’m really ready to be away from there for a bit. Hoping sleds don’t give me any issues. when I get back I might be looking for a new job. Place is wearing me out.

Good point! Lol! I think I’m still going to order an IAC valve for the Nytro. It’s on back order with a March date. I really want to know if it will work in the Viper. I still have the other sled that occasionally starts hard at a cold start. It’s not as bad as my sled. Since I’m pissing money...
