I am a trail/lake rider only...no off trail. The number of studs, the length and if they are placed on the outside of the track can make a huge difference on how well the sled will turn and handle on the trail. I run 1 1/2 inch studs on a inch track including the outside belt of the track. This...
I had my rear shock rebuilt after only 1000 km this winter on a new 22 SRX. The rebound damping did not exist. It would actually not rebound from a bunch of small bumps until it would bottom out on the transfer block. The owner at Accelerated Technology had me sit on the sled and lightly bump...
I have 2 friends that received Skidoos this past year and 1 friend who just ordered a new Polaris. Both manufactures, you went through your dealer and they were allotted X amount of sleds. When they were spoken for, that was it. Yamaha does not use their dealers anymore and you have to do it...
I really think that Yamaha has done a piss poor job of customer satisfaction in the past 2 years. They are driving people away. I would love to do a survey on Yamaha snowmobile products in Canada. They should go and get a few pointers from Skidoo. No wonder they own the market at least in...
I run the 1 inch track with 1 1/2 inch studs on a 2022 SRX and I hook up very good on the majority of trails I ride. I would not trade for a 1 1/4 inch track. I'm sure in soft snow conditions off trail the 1 1/4 inch track works better but I do not ride off trail.
I took my sled into a suspension company and thought my torsion springs were to stiff. Was I ever wrong. Upon inspection at Accelerated Technologies, John the owner had me sit on the sled and bump my butt down a few times. Right away he said that your shock rebound was way to slow on the rear...
Can anyone educate me on how to lower the pressure on a 2022 SRX rear Fox shock. I am only 140 Lbs and the suspension is to stiff. There is no sit in when I get on the sled. The manual says it is set at 160 psi for a 170 lb. person on soft setting. The rear spring is on the softest setting.
Sorry to hear. glad you're ok. I stay off the trail on the weekend as there are to many weekend warriors. Fortunate to be able to sled during the week.
