Yamaha fuel stabilizer and condioner for storage.I used to use seafoam but yamaha boat mechanic told me seafoam is so good that it will soften up anything you might have in your fuel system and could plug up injectors(jets) after long term storage.Said to use seafoam when running/ driving it...
Was easy to do, just found a used steering post off a viper mtx and followed the instructions from search I did on forum.I did not need any extra parts for mine (btx)but you might on king cat.
You may want to check your oil filter also.Last year and this year on -30c + start ups oil pushed by oil filter seal (oem filter)No leakage from oil tank which is surprising but oil leaked around coating belly pan that lead me to believe it was tank.
You need the whole mtx vertical steering post with the tripod.Only mod was to the plastic shroud to make room for the tripod support bar.If you do a search "vertical steering" it explains how to do it, that is what I followed.
I switched to the vertical steering(goofy tripod) on my sidewinder .Yes,i like it better.I found a used one off of 16 viper mtx and followed the instructions on a thread on here.Do not know if cat one works or not or if it would require modifications. I also added a adjustable riser to it and...

Hey Coltan,I also have a 17 sidewinder btx le 153.Mine is still stock also except for some clutching that is working for me that reduced clutch temps and have not blown a belt in three seasons since changed to this set up.61 offset no shims behind secondary,33/35 dalton helix,1st generation o/b...
I had the same issue with a 15 viper mtx w/153 and 2.6 lug from day one new .Every thing was straight and in alignment nothing bent etc.Dealership could not find anything wrong , they even changed drivers and tried a different track but it still would ride over to left side going forward and the...
The noise is the rollover valve vented to the air box.Open up the air box lid or pull out the hose from back of it while idling and you will be able to definitely hear that is what it is ,if only for peace of mind .
