Take a look at this thread. http://www.ty4stroke.com/threads/xtx-suspension-upgrade-from-hygear.135146/
Also a search for 'xtx hygear' will yeild plenty of reading that should help you get it set up. Properly set up this skid is perfect for me. Surprised more of the ltx guys that are looking...
I've read that a few times over the years and couldn't disagree more. I've bought my last 4 sleds there and have had them take care of service and warranty issues. Never had an issue and will continue to use them. ;)!
Nice to see you made the trek from Maine to get the sleds. My last 4(12xf turbo, 2 vipers and the winder) have come from them and they've always treated me right. Like anywhere, I have read some negative posts but I chalk that up to never being able to please everybody no matter how hard you...
This thread might help you decide what rear skid is better for you. There's lots of good threads in the viper forum regarding some of these questions. This one is from nos-pro.

A doo freeride 154 which is as close as you can get to a B-TX comes in at 487 lb. Yes the pure mountain sleds are lighter but only a fool would try to use one as a crossover. T motion is a joke on trail. Yes I've ridden them.
You should post this in the regular viper forum. There are some very helpful guys in there. Quite a bit more traffic as well. Good luck in the race. something I would love to do someday.
