Creep off the ground, correct? With the track off the ground it creeps tiny bit now and then. Any tighter and the belts squeals pretty bad idling on the ground or off the ground with brake on.
I can make a quick adjustment tomorrow. That secondary bolt supposed to be like 20 ft. lbs? It took a long 14 mm wrench and another one as leverage to break it free.
Yeah I feel stupid for posting that before thinking. I got in the house and then realized I had yo screw it in the widen the clutch. All it took to not creep and stop squealing was drop the belt down maybe a 1/16". It's still just a hair above..maybe 1/32". We're going riding tomorrow so I'll...
Well I installed TP belt adjuster...can't get the belt to sit flush..still. a good 1/16" above the secondary, still squeals. Ran it on a stand. With engine off I can move secondary clutch in and out a 1/16" so there's no pressure on the adjustment wheel.
I recently had my 17 sidewinder at the shop for a go over. I told them the belt would sometimes squeal when you stopped. They found the primary spring broke and said everything was good, they installed my new spare belt.. Well I fired it up on the trailer the other day and the squealing is worse...
Ok thanks. Rpms last season were 9000 to 9050 at the end of the lake. I wouldn't think the new primary spring would change that. And by the sounds of it if I added more weight to the primary it really wouldn't change engagement rpm hardly? I'm assuming this primary spring has been broken the...
I've got a 2017 sidewinder ltx le. Stock except for 250hp TD tune, dalton blk/ orange secondary spring and dalton primary weights. I've only rode this sled for 1 season...waiting to ride this season still. Ever since I've had it the engagement has been around 2500 2700 or so. Seemed to go good...
No...completely flat on the garage floor,,,as you would ride it. If these shocks normally have to be looked at well before 5000 miles I guess it's overdue. My local shop was woodys( now moms) and they sent out some apex shocks for me once( wet leak). Not sure who they sent them to but I will...
I can ask my local shop where he sends their shocks to be gone over. Also If I push down on the rear grab bar it seems to go down easier than I think it should but I don't have another sled like a sidewinder to compare it to. The sled has a little over 5k miles and I'm pretty sure the shocks...
