Thanks for all the info guys! I currently put 300 miles on it up in the UP, and it's working as it should. I'll change the oil again after this ride.....
Yes I put on about 100 miles around home. I changed out the oil, and I'll see what happens. By the consistency of the oil, it may have been rubbing on the case. I also adjusted the chain tension.
I have no visible leaks on the case side. Could it be leaking from one of the shaft seals? I changed the case oil two years ago. I did not ride much last year due to lack of snow, and I put on around 600 minutes the year before. I did change the top gear two years ago when I upgraded to the...
I'm looking at parting with my nytro XTX. I was planning on a sidewinder of course, but last weekend in MI, I had the opportunity to ride both the sidewinder and the Polaris assault 144. Obviously the winder has more power, but the Polaris handled great, and the model with the 2" track hooks up...
I just had a similar issue. My battery would charge like normal with no indication of it being bad. It would output enough volts to throw back a code. After checking for grounded out wires, I discovered my battery had a bad cell. I put a new battery in an everything worked fine.
I have mo flow vents. I put a corved vent on each side panel where it's lower to the ground, and to help get ride of clutch and engine heat. I also put in the console vent. They work great together when riding as some cooler air flows into the bottom and comes out the console vent. It definitely...
I have ski Doo idlers on outside the rails (4) and X wheels between the rails (4). These wheels are about 5mm larger in diameter than stock. It helps with slide wear. I also have the DuPont sides as well. If you use ski Doo wheels, I believe there is a spacer you have to put on the idler wheel...
Thanks for all of the info! I went through and checked out all of the areas suggested, with no luck. I did however add some protection to the wiring harness where it runs behind the primary clutch. It turns out it was my battery. It must have a bad cell in it because it would charge just fine...
I checked the relays and battery connections and still no luck. I put a charger on my battery, and it's acting like it's taking a charge, but it possibly could be bad. I'm going to see if that's an issue after charging overnight, and also check the ground wire.
While changing the track and bearings on my XTX, I noticed a mouse had made a nest on top of the head the engine. I pulled the fuel tank to check the wiring, and I found one blue wire with some of the coating chewed off. The wire looks like it is for the fuel injection system. I taped up the...
