2022s already? Diagnosing Piston Failures (two stroke)

I think I will stick with my 4 banger 4 stroke for awhile. I like the 2 strokes, but I just don't have the time to mess with them nor do I have the time to fix them or the money to modify them. Espsecially when we are talking $15,000.00. out the door. The thing better work for that much...

And you got to love that exhaust sound. That sled will always turn heads in the future and will always be respected.

Did Ski-Doo just match Yamaha in the 4 stroke department?

I could have sworn that I read somewhere that the old triples weigh almost just as much as my Apex. :dunno:

    2022 Yamaha Viper LTX-GT

Because if the 2022 viper GT is equal in HP to the new 2022 Ski-doo enduro 130hp turbo (there are two ski-doo enduro versions now, 130hp and 180hp), why not buy the Viper for a grand less? If they are equal in HP, buying a non-turbo (viper) is just one less mechanical part to go out in the...

    2022 Yamaha Viper LTX-GT

Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro with the tuned down 900 ace turbo 130hp would be its direct competitor. Its listed at $15,599.00. The 2022 Viper GT with heated seat etc is listed at $14,599. Exactly a grand cheaper. But which one is the REAL value with basically the same Horse power. What about...

Did Ski-Doo just match Yamaha in the 4 stroke department?

Choices! We should be glad that we have lots of Choices. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro 600R E-TEC ES Ice Ripper XT 1.25 for my very light weight significant other. I think this is the best choice for her. I think she only weighs around 110 pounds. I...

Did Ski-Doo just match Yamaha in the 4 stroke department?

Isn't the Yamaha Turbo "on paper" rated at 180HP? Well Ski-Doo 2022 turbo just matched that "on paper" Everyone gives 4 strokes a hard time but Ski-Doo obviously has been dumping TONS of money into their 4 stroke program and nobody does that just for the heck of it.

Jaret Announces 2022 Yamaha Snowmobile Launch Date!!

A replacement for the Apex / Vector? I think that is what he hinted at. Oh well nobody seems to care anymore so we will just have to wait and see.

Help! Its down to 3, Venture, viper GT, Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro 600R E-TEC

I am looking for a snowmobile for a female, late 30s with two younger kids, has never been snowmobiling. Riding U.P. Michigan trails. I starting out thinking the Ski-Doo Renegade Enduro 600R (newer engine) E-Tec was the way to go. Then I shifted over to the Yamaha SRViper L-TX GT because of...

    Venture timeline?

Two-stroke. Two-stroke engines have different exhaust systems, but the basic muffler design is similar. A two-stroke pipe uses its reflective pressure wave to keep the fuel/air mixture inside the combustion chamber. Most of this tuning is done in the pipe itself, but muffler length and diameter...

    Venture timeline?

I have a 2002 Honda CBR 1100 (Black Bird) and it has a drone at a certain speed. My Apex Has a drone at a certain speed. I think it’s just the result of the engine design and exhaust. I do know that the engines are designed to bounce sound waves back and forth in the exhaust (and air box)...
