Hi, I was looking at some posts and saw that you've said that you have put the Yamaha mtx skis on your xtx. How are they? About how wide are they?

I bought the skis used and got the hardware from dealer...my brother-in-law just got this same setup from dealer for his Apex ltx.

So you just ask for the mtx ski hardware?

Yup...they should be able to look up part #'s for you.

Tape came off cause of heat...

Wow, I was thinking, maybe it is possible to get a bracket, attach a cut out piece of sheet aluminum(just a few inches by few inches) to the bracket, and then attach that bracket to the sled right by the exhaust. If it doesn't look to bad, I think that would be great cause then there would be no worries for the tanks

Like that aluminum piece but one that's build onto the sled and a bit closer to the turnout
