Found the issue: One of the RB3 controller piggy back connector was plug incorrectly (my bad). To track down this issue I built a RB3 bypass connector, which I can now use to see if the controller is at fault or not. Great summer to all!

You don't have a error code? you only want more 12v output. Not sure the new stator will give you more!

Yes it did happen to me. Had to change the seal. At the same time you may want to change the two SC bearing, mine give away after 4500 miles.

Check the SC bearings, 1 at each end the the sc shaft.

Well count me in...I have that exactly same problem. I Guess I will have to tear it apart and inspect piece by piece including wires. Lot of fun to come...I guess that is the price to pay to keep those old babies!
