Hurricane turbo intake upgrade

Sent my intake fitting back to hurricane for replacement for the new and improved version 2
did you contact him first? Was yours previously installed?
I have a brand new one on the shelf and am wondering what my course of action should be.

He sent me a message thru FB and said to send it back for replacement

Hope he keeps production going. I've got 4 to be replaced. All melted.

Do these REALLY make a difference... or is it pretty much a placebo effect (snake oil)?
I have no interest in buying one but it seems this might be one of those things like the "knock out kit" that was so popular a couple seasons ago. Now you never hear about them because.they don't really work long term.

Someone will need to dyno the new one as it now has an additional internal bump inside it as well. I'd have to guess the added 2nd clearance bump in it now will hurt the power over one with just one clearance bump in it.

I only have a chassis dyno, so take it for what it's worth, but I see 2-3 track hp gain on a stock machine and up to 5-6 track hp gain on turned up Sidewinders. The nice thing is it's a gain in efficiency of the turbo, so the extra power is not caused by raising boost and this means it requires no extra octane to makeup for the increase in performance.

OK, well that would be worth it then.

On the lake last weekend there was a guy with a tuned Boost that pulled 137 GPS. A guy with a tuned 850 comp ran 140 mph GPS. He ran the tar outta that Doo with many pulls over a mile.
Good thing you were there to educate him!

Dave got back to me pretty quickly and said I was welcome to send my unused intake back for the updated one. Now I just have to remember to do it....

Says fiberglass infused high temp material
Still looks 3D printed? There is "fiberglass" 3D printer filament but there are different filaments that are "glass impregnated" or "carbon fiber impregnated".
