    2014

Well stated. As someone who nows owns an XF1100 turbo and has had several Yamahas that I've loved (3 SRXs, RX1ER and an Apex GT), you nailed it. The procross chassis is an awesome handler. Put Yamaha reliability into it, and you might be onto something.

Anyone have some stock Apex clutch weights?

I need a set of stock clutch weights for my Apex. If anyone has some and would like to sell them, please email me at srxfreak@comcast.net Thanks.

No shock adjustment indicator on my GT

The shock was just reinstalled after a revalve. The harness appears fine, and is rerouted per the update. I'm scratching my head on this one.

No shock adjustment indicator on my GT

I just put my revalved shock back in my sled, wires looked fine, but can't get the shock icon to appear on the guage cluster for adjustment. Does anyone have experience with this issue and or a fix?

any one have pic of routing the wire to shock?

    GT Shock wire routing?

I did a search on the reroute bulletin, that they had for the Apex GTs, and all I got was some expired links. Does anyone have a link, or a file that shows the proper routing of wires for the Ohlins electronic shock?

very low top speed compared to last year

That track is probably responsible for about 5 mph of your loss. And you're revving too high. I'm not sure what the point is with changing out the wheels and drivers either, unless you do alot of deep snow running and are ratcheting.

should i trade my apex gt for a nytro

I'm on the fence too. I have a GT, and will be on my second Pioneer revalve this winter. It was hugely improved last year, but still didn't have the bottoming resistance I wanted. I'm confident that it will be worlds better this year. I've learned in years past that often times by the time...

Can 't get my Apex to fire after storage

I think I figured it out..... :o| Imagine my surprise when I pulled the seat off..... I'm actually happy that it turned out pretty simple and basic, easy repair, and no fault of the sled.

Can 't get my Apex to fire after storage

I swapped out the relays and still can't hear the fuel pump go. :o|

Want HOT hands?..It can be done!!! EDITED FIRST POST

This is aggravating as hell for me. I've put up with cold hands on this sled for 2 seasons. I put the updated bars on my 06, and they still suck. Sold the 06 bars on ebay as I thought I wouldn't need them. So now it's Nov. 07, is there any way to get decent heat out of the 07 bars on an 06...

Did I make a mistake purchasing a used 06 Apex ER

Exactly. I don't know too many 600s that will radar in the high teens on the lake stock. Mine ran 120 with just some clutch work, no 600 would be in the same zipcode after a few hundred feet.

Can 't get my Apex to fire after storage

Thanks for all the tips folks. This morning I noticed that when I turn the key on, I'm not hearing that whirring motor noise, which I assume is the fuel pump. I did remove the headlight/guage pod to access the air intakes, but doubt that should affect anything. I'm gonna try some new plugs...

Can 't get my Apex to fire after storage

I know that, I ran them all last year. As far as fouled plugs, I don't buy it. I let the motor warm thoroughly, each time and rev out a bit before it got shut off. If its firing with starting fluid, I suspect the plugs are fine and I'm dealing with a fuel issue.

Can 't get my Apex to fire after storage

I thought it might be plugs too, but would they fire at all if the plugs were bad? I have the one size colder plugs in there too fwiw.

Does anyone know where I can send a deposit for this sled?!

Can 't get my Apex to fire after storage

I started my Apex every month or so all spring and summer and it ran fine, but about a month ago, it wouldn't fire. In the spring, I stabilized the gas and parked it last season and that was it for storage prep. It was stored in an unheated, but weathertight shed. Today I tried some starting...

Are stock Apex skis really that bad?

I agree. Shimmed skis and triple points on mine, and am very pleased for overall trail use. My only remaining complaint with my 06 is a too soft rear end, despite a respring and a revalve.

Just put on the Bergstroms's interesting results

Thats interesting, Im running the ski savers, shims and triple point carbides too. I haven't gotten alot of miles on this year, but did have mine on the radar last weekend....120 mph with the ski savers on. This was on plowed ice.

    '07 RTX rear skid

Not for nothing, but I'm tired of Yamaha telling us this is the rough trail suspension, only to find that its too soft. For the life of me, I can't understand why they can't build a suspension for the hammerheads. Im 80% pleased with my GT after a respring and a revalve, but the heavy stuff...
