just got the tank installed and got it all hooked up and oil put in it then went to go screw the dip stick in and cant get it to screw in. Do i need to have the rx1 dip stick or should the dip stick from the rage oil tank fit into the oil tank?

I had just baught an oil tank off from an rx1 im thinking from a 2004 or 2005 and was wondering if that would work for a 2007 rage.? And when I take the oil tank off the rage does that completely drain the oil out of the motor? Thanks for any answers

thanks for the information, ended up making reservations at the holiday inn in munising. hopefully the weather changes and they get more snow. i see there calling for it all week in munising.
was wondering what the trails were like here. and what kind of trails they have here. Going to sault ste marie next weekend and wanna ride somewhere west to stay the night then come back the next day any info would be greatly appreciated.

i also have a rage and was having problem blowing belts and took it into the dealer when i blew 2 in 15 miles and they said my clutches were out of alignment but then after that i blew the top half of another belt so i did some researching on here and guy posted that the rivets on his spare belt...

by saying the cap needs to be lose do you mean and head cap? and should i take the dip stick out when draining the oil as well?and then when you say dump 2 quarts in the tank do you mean the oil tank where the dip stick is? sorry if these are dumb questions just wanting to make sure i do it the...
well i went out and started it up and the oil level went down but it only went down to like just above the full mark. do you think i should redrain the oil and start over with the head cap off for venting and do it the right way? i do have 3 extra quarts. thanks for the help.
No i didnt take cylinder head cap off when i was draining the oil, was this a big deal? the oil tank is pretty full now is that ok when starting it to let it warm to get the oil into the motor?
I'am changing my oil and filter for the first time and i got the filter replaced and the drain plugs all taken out and drained all the old oil out and replaced them. Went to go and start adding the new oil and got almost 2 quarts dumped in and it almost over filled on me. must be doing something...
Remember seeing something on here a couple of years ago that someone had a diagram or something on changing your oil and filter was wondering if I could get any help on this. Trying to change my oil and filter this year. Thanks for any information. David
well last week i went to the dealer and baught a new belt and took the old one off that was half gone (the one i got warratied for last year) and compared my old belt to my new belt and they looked nothing alike the one i got waratied on last year was thinner looking and just not as good looking...
