How Many Buyers Bought 2022 With EPS

No in season sleds has my Yamaha dealer wondering if he can move forward next year with sleds. Definitely a crossroads year. Maybe Yamaha is doing this by design like BRP did with Evinrude. Got out blamed it on the Pandemic which was total BS 4s engines forced them out of outboards.

How Many Buyers Bought 2022 With EPS

Looking at the past 10 years I would say No Yamaha would not and did no invest internally to advance their snowmobile division. We all waited and waited for a new Japanese sled and nothing new. The OEM agreement with Cat saved the day probably for both OEMs. Now Textron is in complete control of...

How Many Buyers Bought 2022 With EPS

Apex EPS was a great sled but missed on suspension. Yamaha may have hung on with Apex and Vector if they improved the suspension and then the SS was the last disaster. I might have purchased 2018 Apex and beyond but the rear suspension was horrible compared to all other OEMs. Crying shame imo...

You’re kidding right? Jared is marketing production engineering is a very different skill set. If Yamaha doesn’t want an engineering resource at TRF during production runs to protect their investment they completely trust Textron. I would think Yamaha will assign an engineer to TRF during...

To be honest Yamaha historically never did well at suspension set ups better off with Cat doing shock and suspensions. 4s set ups should be mature by now Yamaha usually has a few more ponies available here and there. The Apex Ohlin EC mono was pretty darn good when set up properly too bad Yamaha...

IMO difficult to say the end is near Yamaha is profitable cost sharing endeavor for Textron. My question is will Textron share a new procross platform with Yamaha make engineering concessions for 4s engines for future platforms?

Has to be an Yamaha engineering presence at TRF at least 1 or 2 people during production runs. Doesn’t really matter where their base locations US , Canada or Japan but better be there during assembly months.

Yeppers that’s what I got out of this Yamaha is open for business to sell engines to all snowmobile OEMs. That’s what engine OEMs do evaluate ROI on engine contracts to a given spec.

Future is OEM relationships says so in black and white. We all knew that already but good of Yamaha to state it. Want a Yamaha engine they’ll sell you one.

Damn you COVID! -- Trailer prices

Less doors less problems no water leakage. I won’t even include a fuel door learned just another problem and can always fuel sleds when unloaded.

Damn you COVID! -- Trailer prices

Idk 5 months should work before next season. Things I worry about is workmanship exactly who going to do the assembly? Manufacturing can’t keep workers to manufacture trailers if no raw materials and will need to hire and train new talent. Something in the process is bound to be problematic. I’m...

Damn you COVID! -- Trailer prices

Back on track dealer ordered 500 trailers down to 14 new trailers to sell more like odds and ends inventory. Idk what he is going to do maybe have someone answer the phone lay everyone else off. Terrible outcome of Covid supply chain break.

    Ski Savers

That sounds like the navigator. Idk how that would work on cat skis but makes sense to come here to ask. I just put woody navigators on doo TS adjustable carbide skis for a 900t with ice ripper track mostly for ski protection and hopefully eliminate a sight dart. Many part number navigators so...

    Ski Savers

Right ski savers are a wide brush stroke Woodys makes the Navigators as a type of ski saver. Is that the specific Woodys product you asked about? Also it would help to know what brand ski you are using and what model snowmobile? Lots of very good ski darting solutions available but need to know...

Chinese government is ruthless doesn’t care about welfare of their people or pollution. Yet libs think they can get their cooperation in a climate agreement regarding air pollution. Good luck with that! Lol

Damn you COVID! -- Trailer prices

Plenty of rare earth here US unfriendly environmentally to compete with China in both mining and processing rare earth. Who knows may work out better in the long run deplete China of rare earth then mine ours. Just like coal China buys all our coal we don’t use it due to pollution restrictions.

Damn you COVID! -- Trailer prices

I’m curious if spring ordered snowmobiles are going to ship on time or at all. I think OEMs drew a line in the sand on their supply line providers and were carful they didn’t bite off more than they could deliver. BUT always the possibility a supplier overcommitted. Covid supply line delays are...
