We’ve been using a bushing since 2018 that we haven’t seen a failure yet, one guy has 30000 Kim’s on one and still no play in it.

if you were running say 22-23 lbs of boost with a progressive meth controller it would be pretty cool on the trail . I know TD has set up a few 998s on meth but don’t know the details.

U need a meth system on your sled . Lol

THere was a revision to the IHI turbo in around 2018 , not sure what it was but expect it was to address the failures. IT was not performance related as there was no tune updates

Issues like this is why I discourage customers from tuning their sled day one, makes denying warranty too easy. Was very common with the 17 and 18s to whine on shut down and a pile of them were replaced but u don’t hear about the issue much anymore. Seen a few bad cylinder heads leak...

I agree , just look at the size of the new sleds, their huge. Can remember back in the day when they transitioned from a factory 0.5 lug track to a 0.75 lug track the radar guys were pissed .

Most people do the swap for performance gains , more bars on the ground and debatable is the 2.52 efficiency. PERSONally id go hacksaw route but that suits my trail riding and racing preference.
