Viper is a nice sled....I feel Yam would sell a ton more Vipers if the price point was further from a Winder. Its by far the nicest NA 4s on market. If it had abit more power/top end, at abit lower price point, i think they would sell alot more. Maybe add EPS to a Viper GT model too. Dan

Couple things come to mind after reading above replies.... I think we do need to remember, there have been SEVERAL changes/updates since 2017 model year. Some of these are true changes and well documented, but not all. New brake lever/reservoir ect. New switch gear New front end...

Agree they need to fix issues, but we have known this for 4-5 yrs now. Just cause you think EPS is "useless" doesn't mean everyone else does. I can tell you this addition will make many old school Apex owners make the change. You will never hear Yamaha come out and say in writing they fixed...

Would be interesting if YAM is only one to get PS. Maybe it will only be on the top dog(SRX)?? It would set the Winder apart from cat. Or maybe the Tcat will be gone and cat will be all 2s? Gonna be interesting to see what Cat does as this is their 60th anny, and they are due for a new Gen2...

Wonder why they dont call it EPS? (Electronic Power Steering), maybe just a simpler graphic for side of cowl, but I assume its Apex like, and not some mechanical power steering. He did mention in the video older customers from apex and vector. Dan

I think its an SRX. Blue, and can see the turbo hose, and has lower front end. Finally looks like ALL blue too, spindles, upper/lower arms ect. Wonder what price will be now with Power steering? Yikes! Will be cool to run some big carbides and still have easy steering. Dan
