2022's - Are there even going to be any?

Yeah there are some trade offs with the 900t. For me it comes down to where you ride. The iTC becomes a bigger issue when technical riding, which many dont ever do so its a NON issue for some. In reality, a 2smoker really is made for technical/tight/rough riding...just effortless when rode back...

2022's - Are there even going to be any?

I would concur.... Bud had his 900t XRS last season, and I had my 850 XRS. Such a huge difference swapping back and forth. Biggest issue when swapping instantly is the iTC. It takes getting used to, and is very jerky in sport mode, but if you go down to standard mode, it feels sluggish, so you...

Knock Off Driveshaft Saver Clone from Precision EFI

What is sad, is this device took some thinking to come up with the idea. I recall many of us talking about ways to keep things in check, but Travis was the brain that thought of expanding the driveshaft to bite the bearing. There was a LONG thread of smart guys here with many ideas, NONE had...

2022's - Are there even going to be any?

I'm sure this wont be popular, but I loved my 850 XRS. It was very nice for a change, to just ride and not wrench. For tight trail systems that get pounded out from hi traffic, just cannot beat the XRS IMO. The Winder was always a handful on these types of trails. At end of the day I was...

    iQS button not working??

I have read so many times about this....going back to the beginning when they first released it. I really wish YAM would offer the SRX and LE models with manual shocks, like the Tcat. Can you guys tell me, if you have them set to say medium(#2), and the switch quits. Will they just remain at...

2022's - Are there even going to be any?

I am keeping a close eye on the '22s from all manufacturers. I always thought if I buy another 998, that I would try the Tcat this time around. Reasons are pretty simple, with the main reason being Snowmageddon. This special pricing from Cat last year brought the Tcat way way down in price when...

    Testing with TD GPS/Dragy

I had special shim washers made, that had a small enough OD to fit within the casting at full shift. Otherwise you will have issues at full shift. 2mm removal when machining rear side of hub would be about max to remove without having to have special spacer shims made. Best thing to do, is...

Yamaha, there is a possibility of someone getting hurt with these SW primaries!

I wish!.....47 years straight spent at my cottage sledding, still hard to fathom I cannot cross. grrrrr Dan

Yamaha, there is a possibility of someone getting hurt with these SW primaries!

Hey Brother! After many yrs of either owning a light flickable 2smoker for around my tight trails, and wanting more power for Qc super highways....I have always felt I really needed to own 2 sleds for the best of both worlds. So im finally aiming to do just that. Keeping an eye on the 998...

Yamaha, there is a possibility of someone getting hurt with these SW primaries!

Hi Vic, thanks for info brother. These clutch issues always concern me and the PB80 always seemed to be a great option for its simplicity and cost, loved mine on my 1200. Do you know if yours is the dual spring design? Where did you buy it from? I don't think you can see the springs without...

Have you got many miles on the new PB80? I have been thinking that this is by far the best cost alternative setup. Such a simple design, no moving parts(ramps/rollers/bushings ect) so it should be ultra quiet. Got any pics of it? I'd like to see the dual spring setup. thanks Dan

My RTX LE 50th BUILD THREAD-ROCKERDAN

The distance is not that bad overall, and I have gone well over 110 miles many times without running out of fuel, so it just goes to show how much more fuel the sled consumes when running 80+mph for so long. I know in my truck the MPG falls drastically when I just go up from 60mph to 70mph...

My RTX LE 50th BUILD THREAD-ROCKERDAN

I had seen that double mount system from Up North Tech. Lots of great options out there for sure. I was always a fan of the smaller brackets which I used on my Winder from Whiteout tech. I now have the stackable setup for caddy and bag on the Doo. I see lots of POO owners using the linq system...

My RTX LE 50th BUILD THREAD-ROCKERDAN

Agree with you.....the 850s are really "turn-key" performance sleds and just buy/ride. The LinQ system is nice as it does not touch tunnel, those brackets are attached to edges where strength is and so you don't even get scratches or rubbing in center of tunnel anywhere....but yeah the ribs...

My RTX LE 50th BUILD THREAD-ROCKERDAN

Hey Brother.... I think where you live and ride its alot harder to step back to a 2s. Bigger trail systems similar to Northern Qc when we head there are so darn wide open, long and fast! Going back to back from a Winder would be worse, but since I've become more used to my 850 and have not...

My RTX LE 50th BUILD THREAD-ROCKERDAN

I try to always tell it like it is....I find the problem with forums is many guys ride one brand always and don't swap or try other brands, so they end up cheerleading for their brands, and so if you post anything negative about their brand on their site, guys get mad. Understandable as...

Wow, yeah this is bad. Wallet is getting very thin!! I know the border is only open to essential crossing now, i worry that I wont be able to come back up here for a very long time! I sure hope next fall for sled season things are back to normal!

Haha.... Yeah since work at home was not able to start due to CV19, I decided to stay up here where its alot safer to self-isolate! The number of cases here is very low, while Niagara county at home has a fair amount more, and Erie county which is where most all my work is, has a LOT more cases...
