Yea somebody don’t want you to know what max boost is..... only problem is they left the fuel pressure column intact. Fuel pressure is directly related to boost pressure. Do the math.
I would definitely do the gears. Yes it can be harder on belts but you just need to test some setups. Usually a lower angle helix will give you more belt squeeze and slow down the shift, that will usually do the trick.
Flatter profile weights are usually better with tall gearing.
Short tracks = Coupled
Long tracks = Uncoupled
Coupled suspension won’t bottom out as easily. Basically when your suspension is compressed at some point the front and rear swing arms will “Couple” and compressing either arm moves both arms, Stiffening the suspension. Google it and videos will...
I have found running my front suspension with the arms almost level, Very slight incline, it handles on rails and steers nice. It is slightly lower than most but the new spindles would allow the same angle with an extra inch of belly clearance, it would raise my COG by one inch but maybe it...
A higher front roll center is essentially what they have done. Makes your sled more responsive to steering input with a sacrifice of more pushing under hard steering...... yes hitting a bump while turning it probably won’t feel as “Grabby” pushing through the bump more instead of the sled...
Ahhhhh nice find! Yes that’s makes sense, since the front end is now raised up on the newer models, this does the same for the rear. Raising the rear up so the sled is level.
Imho this is all for appearance, making the sled higher so it appears to have more travel than it actually does...
I would think the rear needs to be dropped down, in the upper hole. I remember guys putting drop brackets (they actually raise the sled) on sx vipers and it just ruined the trail manners. Looked cool tho.
What ya think Yamaha has into those rear Boggie wheels? Maybe a solid $2.00? Not even...
I think he’s in Maine, hence “MAINE”drummer?
Long way to drive fur a race....Don’t worry tho I’m up for getting my a$$ kicked, not far i’m in Wisconsin.
:drink:
You might want to have the new shaft chucked up in a lathe and skim cut the inside diameter. The rough finish on the inside is probably not the best for maintaining a tight fit with the McWedgy
