Adjustments on a Nytro are critical to making it handle properly. Maybe more so with the FX platform than any other sled out there. Yes, there are aftermarket options out there that can further improve handling but you still need to make the proper adjustments to maximize a Nytro's performance...
Set the toe out to 3/8"- 1/2" total, If running stock skis install Stud Boy Deuce bars and shim the rear of the rubbers 3/16". Also, make sure the ski rubbers are installed properly... the notches in the rubber goes forward. To improve handling remove the top ball joints and have 2.5 mm machined...
More than likely the tank is spitting oil due to being overfilled. Very common complaint. Even when filled to the correct capacity they still tend to vent some oil out but it's nothing to worry about.
The differences between the XS and XSM is minimal. I run the XS skis on my Nytro and Viper and have experience with the XSM ski on a RX1 Warrior. The Warrior is a poor sled to test the XSM skis because it's not as good off trail as a Nytro or Viper but on trail it's hard to tell that they're the...
Never swap the ignition coil connectors. Firing the cylinders out of order can cause engine damage. A few years back a Vector was brought to me for repairs because the owner mistakenly crossed two coil wires. It damaged all the starter gears and sheared the flywheel crankshaft key.
I only charge $150 plus parts to replace a stator in a delta box chassis. Last one I did took less than 4 hrs but I've been in these stator covers a few times.
Code 12 displays because the ECU is expecting to see a signal from the crank sensor indicating that the engine is rotating when attempting to start it. You more than likely have a bad starter.
What's your location in NY? I'm in WNY if you need help with this.
The gussets should fit all year frames. The 2008 subframe also takes the same gussets but it requires one additional plate that's not included in 09+ kits.
Test the battery voltage drop while cranking the engine. You can do this by putting the kill switch in the off position so the engine won't fire then read the battery voltage while cranking the starter. If there's a significant enough draw on the battery the voltage drop my be enough to prevent...
With all the problems with the starter magnets slipping I wouldn't continue cranking for more than 4-5 sec. You don't want to over heat the starter and I've found with my 15 Viper if it doesn't start after several seconds it never will until I stop cranking and cycle the key.
It was stated in...
what year Nytro do you need gussets for? I cut the gussets when I get an order so it usually takes me a few days to get them in the mail. I have a couple steering relocates ready to go.
A gusset kit for a 2008 would be $86 shipped and the relocate would be another $45 if ordered with the gussets. You can order by sending payment to my PayPal account: grizztracks@gmail.com
