A properly set up seat forward sled will eat the old trailing arm sleds for breakfast without even trying. Even on good trails. I went from a Polaris Fusion which is based on the original Rev from ski-doo and there is no way I would even come close to what my winder can do.
I thought you went about it in a completely professional way. You never said anything against any of the other products available, only pointed out where you believed that yours was better while comparing to the incumbents on the market today.
That being said, do you have an update on...
Have you measured what your clutch offset is? At 300+ horse you really need to be in the 57.5-58mm range. Take a look at the Thunder Products thread here.

If you can get your clutch in to that...
The other thing that I have found is huge is bleeding all the air out of the cooling system. The winders seem really picky about it. I was able to take my machine from overheating all the time to I didn't even put scratchers down just by properly bleeding the cooling system. Alot of dealers...
Has anyone tried this yet? There is a station around the cabin where I could get E85 for the sled. If the closed loop works the way I think it should (add fuel until lambda = 1) and you have enough overhead in your fuel pump/injectors everything should run correct right?
I would think the...
I really wish someone would have come out with a turbo flat lander sled. I really do think a turbo 2-stroke would make the ultimate backup sled for me. It would be something I wouldn't put many miles on, can de-tune when I have a buddy come up who needs a sled but when the sidewinder is down...
I specifically would not want the tethered one because of going through the ice. It takes a 60Ib pull to trigger the tethered one, that is way more than enough to pull you under with the sled. While you probably can pull yourself away far enough to rip the tether out, I wouldn't want to count...
Now that is interesting. Although I wonder how it would hold up to studs... We already have "some" padding with snow most of the time, I don't think this would have helped steiner out at all based on the blow his tek vest took from studs.
Also, I wonder if there is a way for those electronic...
2 other sleds in my group are already running this kit. We all ride very aggressively and I was the only one to break stuff (that wasn't a belt) last weekend. Needless to say that is what will be going on the sidewinder.
