    Clutch servicing

If there's a problem with your device, see if you can go back to stock bolt. That device is for precision Tuning & ease of belt removal. The Apex belt is RIDICULOUSLY easy to change & rarely do you need to change the belt height.

    Clutch servicing

My comment was made about the newer piece someone sent a pic of so i deleted it. I was waiting for a different pic to see the threads on yours. I think yours is just rusted or corroded together. I'm so damn curious about your new sled, i was thinking of driving an hour to go see you...... If i...

Winder won't start after oil change

Doesn't sound like he changed a fuse, just disconnected the ROV. Does the ROV now come with a Cut Off switch? I thought it was just heated. Did he plug it back in? Hope he posts back so we can more efficiently help the next poor bastard & sound like real knowledgeable people.

    2020 SRX Sidewinder

I think the design SUCKS!!!!! I do know of many cars that have similar issues cuz of this same thing, but NO sleds. Mine leaked 3 times with 3 different dealers. Once i did it right, it never leaked again. When my friend tried to pull it off, it was A LOT of work. The good Black Stuff works...

    Shootout

Ya not sure How much extra weight is it on Winder? I'm only basing my opinion on EPS on the Apex which i firmly believe has a purpose and use. I just like it as an option. I mean i weigh 170 lbs now & i NEED to be 165 or in my OCD head, that's why i may lose! This head is very busy & complex...

    Shootout

6.1 to be exact I weighed them just like we leave every morning. Everyone tops off their tanks & oils. Some say it's not fair if they hold more gas, but that's the rule. If someone doesn't top off, they don't ride with me. Don't forget we're not talking at a drag strip or a speed run. 2 guys...

    Shootout

Honestly i just want to spank the new POO 850's Both are getting a bit Cocky with me. So i made a sign for them on my new "extenda flap"

    Shootout

Stock to Stock boys, let's be fair. The Stock Winder is a bit "poochy" on bottom, which honestly makes it a GREAT trail sled. 6000 and up is a "Religious Experience" The 900R is VERY touchy on SPORT mode. Kinda scary TBH

    Shootout

My sled was EXACTLY 72 lbs lighter then my old Sidewinder when i personally weighed them. Both 137'' Ripsaw2 tracks with 96 studs. Both FULL of ALL fluids including 2 burps to fill gas. Winder holds 1 more gallon. I removed everything else except spare belt. Both have hand guards & higher...

    Shootout

On Apex it's 1 gallon, not sure about Winder.

    Shootout

So these dealers get to test their sleds first? Cuz if that's true, then those DOO boys really messed up. Standing a sled up looks impressive, but is actually the OPPOSITE of what is needed in an event like this. I don't put much stake in an event like this, but it does give some clues. Trail...

    Shootout

Even though this is off the Original Post Topic, i'm in the middle on this Power Steering issue. I've spent plenty of $$$ and time trying to get sleds to handle good & some, like my first Apex, were ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL to ride. But i figured them all out & never needed the PS after that. 30 pounds...

How to service primary clutch on 06 Apex GT

Take the cover off & clean it as much as you can. If you can't slide those sheaves in & out by hand you may have a rusty shaft or bad bearing. At that point you may have to bring it someplace to remove the Spider unless you have tools & the Means to do it.

    Procedure for boost leak detection

Do a SEARCH in Sidewinder section. I think Turbo Dynamics started one & many chimed in with their homemade tester & how to do it. There's also a "pay it forward" post by BEERMAN that shows a simple one to build

Merry Christmas to Everyone on TY

Don, you're like a Supermodel of the Snowmobile World! All your pictures look like magazine covers. Your sled is immaculate, your suit is dry cleaned, looks like you did ab crunches for a month before the shoot & i think the pics are photoshopped. He's like a Geriatric Ken Doll LUV the VXman...

Check the backside of your sidewinder clutch

The TAPP is quieter, but you can still hear the rattle showing it's the spline from the get-go so all the fixes people have claimed over the years are just Bogus. MIKE, you are a 4th generation TY owner of that TAPP. It still has barely 1000 miles on it. Winterwolf, Me, Fleecer now Knapp. Will...
