Hey everyone, not to bump my own post but, we finally had some snow in Michigan last weekend and
Got some GoPro footage getting thrown off the machine for the first time.
So far, coming from a two stroke factory race sled, I couldn't be happier. But I've also gotten older. The Nytro is A...
So I posted about thread about the track. It's a 129". The part number thing still has me totally confused but whatever.
I finally have the sled back together, kind of. I bought the MTX auxiliary cooler from Travis at BOP and installed that this evening. Was actually easier than I expected. Put...
45 lugs/windows.
45x2.86" pitch = 128.7 ~ 129" track?
If that math above is accurate, I feel real dumb making this post, haha. That 9156H part number shows 120" everywhere I've looked online. Really threw me for a loop. But at least now I know what to look for. I've got about 3" of water in my...
Hi everyone. I'm sorry if this is sort of a double post as I touched on this issue in another thread of mine but got no response. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure this out and I'm simply stumped, so here's a new thread, with more photos, dedicated to this question.
2012 Nytro RTX...
Speaking of rear suspensions, I ran into one hell of a confusing situation...
This sled has a rear suspension relocation of some sort. My track is usable but I'm not a huge fan of studs, and this one is loaded with them (and a couple missing). I was inspecting the track and found a part number...
I've ridden my buddies 06 Apex a little bit so I kind of know what you mean about staying on the throttle a little around turns. Do the Nytro's engine brake as hard as the Apex's do?
Being from North America we probably tend to hang to the right side of the trail anyways? That's where all the hazardous "stuff" is that hurts our machines.
Interesting! I know I had quite a time loading that heavy front end sled into the back of my Ranger, I'll probably enjoy the reverse backing it out of the garage in the mornings, hah.
This is my first snowmobile ever with reverse actually. But then again, I'm coming from a 2000 ZR440 sno pro. A...
Mine does have reverse but based on it's history it could have very well be added afterwords. I don't know if these came any different than a factory Nytro. Did any Nytro not even have reverse stock?
The front frame/suspension sounds like it was a kit available after the sled was built aimed...
Update! I "think" I actually found about everything I needed! I will admit I've spent hours outside this forum comparing and researching everything but heck, I think I actually figured it all out.
The upper "uniball" joints are HIN6-T from FK Bearings. These are still on their way here but the...
That's a great idea! I already bought the soft start primary clutch spring from BOP, I didn't even think about searching there for bushings. I'll give that a shot as well.
Maybe he can help me with my other endeavor...replacement ball joints for this suspension...
Yea I guess maybe I should have elaborated. That's what I want to do, but none of them are sold by size, but by application. Unless I look up custom made ones of course. I just thought that maybe the measurements I took match another Yamaha model, where I could order a kit for that model and...
Looking for a little help if anyone is knowledgeable about Yamaha front suspensions in general. The pictures attached are the upper arms, sandblasted and ready for powder coating, with measurements shown. Are there any other models that match these measurements? These are completely different...
Can I ask more? I want to powder coat the front arms once I get them off and cleaned up. I'm pretty sure they aren't aluminum but I'm wondering why you stated that? I also didn't know that powder coating affected aluminum?
Very cool! There's a 125 sticker on the bottom of the sled that I just found too, so I'm assuming this one was raced or at least the front end came from a race sled.
I wanted to repaint the whole front frame and suspension anyways as there's all kinds of small paint chips (probably from being...
Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and figured I had to post this because I think I landed myself a sweet setup! Long story short, I've always ridden older sleds because frankly, I'm kind of hard on stuff and can't afford the cost of breaking stuff on newer machines. This also leads to tons...
