It's actually not a new idea. Depending on your vintage you may recall a guy named Mark Giammattei had developed a similar adjuster I used on my SRX's back in the late 90's. Anodized purple for the late 90's vibe... lol

Stingray, when you say 1/3 from the bottom what is your reference point? Bottom of the spring it self or bottom of the locking adjuster?

Stingray, is that a Yamaha 135lb spring you are using? What hole do you run on the limiter strap with the 135lb spring?

When you say machine the stock Helix, do you rebate the spring seat?

I did, the good ole snow cone maker lol... But I have to say the fit & finish was still far superior to the SR Viper. But hey, it aint a piano and no one sees fit and finish whey your clicking your heels over a road approach

Thx guys, I did muscle it off and then musle it back on, kind of messed up the plastic but its not going anywere and it is covered by the seat. I like the idea of cutting off the tabs on each side, will do that next time I change the plugs

Need to change my plugs and when I went to take the tank shroud off the brass insert in the tank is spinning and I cant get the bolt off. Any tips/tricks on how to get that bolt off?
