I was going to get the BOP when they put the new track shaft in, but they dont have one and it sounds like winter will be over before I can get one. I would rather not do the work myself since I paid for a warranty, but I will if I have to.
So it turns out Yamaha is on back order with the driveshafts. Does anyone know of aftermarket ones. I found Black Diamond Extreme, but wanted to see if anyone used them or had other recommendations.
I checked this on the second year. I used to replace my bearing on my Apex every other year because it was cheap and good insurance. I am sure it will get covered under warranty, but wonder how long until they can get it in and if they have a shaft in stock.
Doing the last bit of maintenance and found the driveshaft is smoked where the bearing goes on. I am going to call dealer Tuesday and see if I can get it covered under warranty. I have had a vibration since after the first 2500 miles. I wonder if this is the issue.
