I didnt try the low speed compression to help adjust the ride quality. I thought low speed was for just long slow bumps. I like it for transfer. It allows the suspension to come up in a wheelie when you punch it LOL. I know I am heavy just looking to dial it in. The springs are very heavy. I...
I wish I could figure out how to set my shocks up. I only have the Elka rear shocks. They are better than stock, but with so many adjustments it is hard. If I set them for stutters it bottoms out if I set for bigger bumps stutters bounce my feat. I have been going from Medium on both sides for...
I am also very mechanically inclined, just was only looking for inner play and spinning. If there is other things to note I would like to know what to check.
Hey guys can someone tell me why the rollers in the picture are worn out. I have inspected mine before every ride. However I dont know what I am looking for. I always check to make sure they turn freely and dont wiggle on the shaft. These seem like they may be worn smaller in diameter, but I...
Its funny how some have problems and some dont. We have 4 in our group from 8000 miles down to a 19 SRX with 2000. I have had belt blowing issues, but think it is much better this year. While one guys he hasnt done a thing barely cleans his clutches and his runs perfect. So far other than...
Can someone explain the angles? Why would a 35 be good for top end and big trails. Would it be lazier backshifting? I assumed the taller number was how fast it would shift and backshift.
Following as I am 6'5" tall and 300 pounds. I feel like it is a bit slow to spool up. The RPMs are low when cruising and when you punch it, it takes a moment. I thought a 39/35 would be better and quicker launching. My RPMs are also low WOT so I am going from STM's to Daltons and will adjust the...
It doesnt matter the brand or sled there are always shortcomings that need to be addressed. Anytime you go big power and you drive it hard you are going to find issues. My only complaint is on mine stock blowing belts I wished the dealer and Yamaha figured it out and fixed it.
Wait what Fleecer scoop mod. I havent read anything about this mod. My stationary sheeve is hot as well. I thought about using some computer fans ( I am a computer nerd) like they use on a Dell and some ducting to make sure the air is dry and no snow dust
Hey Fleecer,
How do you check your rollers? I have inspected mine every other ride, but never taken them out. From your picture it looks like the inside bushing is gone and you would have to actually take them out of the clutch to inspect?
How can I set the float without the belt deflection tool? I looked through Dan's build cause I thought I saw it there but couldn't find it. I am going on a trip of course and the threads are all fringed up.
Is there anyone in Maine that has a Dalton 39 helix or 39/35 that I can buy or borrow? I have a trip in Canada this week and need one. I have a 41/35 and I think it is too big for my fat #*$&@ 300 pounds.
