Av gas [100 LL] is great for blending with premium fuel to increase the octane a few points but I have found that most sleds don't run well on pure AV gas and I avoid it on anything but old school two strokes as 100 LL AV gas is also VERY high lead content and even small amounts blended in fuel...
Forget the Apex and go with a Sidewinder as new and with as low mileage as possible.
I was a big SRX 700 triple triple fan until I bought my Apex and then the 700 just sat collecting dust.
The Apex is a great sled but since I bought my Sidewinder my Apex has since mainly sat unused.

A good friend and riding buddy just sorted out what sled to buy next by picking up two more Sidewinders....he now has four and should be good to go for a long time into the future.
What ever happens I hope Arctic Cat stays alive for the employees sake as well as our sport. If they rise like a Phoenix, hopefully the 998 will have a role...even if its in the old chassis that in my opinion is still really good!
Things have not changed that much since the Pro Cross chassis was...
This has been an interesting subject and read for me. I didn't realize that I wasn't the only one having to raise the FP on my sled to 50+psi. My sled has a stock wastegate yet will build upwards towards 20 psi boost at WFO and I know that is not typical with a header so I thought that my FP...

Your 2016 XTX Apex came with a 146" x 1.75" Back Country track new.
With that 1.75" track it needed 7 tooth x 2.86" drivers for clearance.
Larger drivers, if you have the needed clearance, are more efficient and less likely to ratchet.
If you are installing a 146" x 1.25" track you now...
My sled has a different muffler and intake then Hurricane designed the tune with ...you can't expect the tune vendors to be responsible when you have messed with their original product.
I think there are always a few other variables with our tuned sleds.
How accurate are the O2 readouts that are...
On the data logging discussion here is a couple logs showing before and after I raised my fuel pressure from 45 to 50 to lower my AFR from 12.4 to 11.8. These logs were done under similar conditions and identical clutching and power train setups.
Its interesting to note that when I raised the fp...
I am at 50psi key on fuel pressure on my Hurricane Header tuned SW and it is correcting fuel up to 114% as well on the 300tune to have 11.8:1 AFR.
As a side note....I just did a full day back woods trail and lake ride and before the trip I adjusted my FP down to the stock 43 psi as I was...
