looking through previous posts I saw some confusion about yamaha and arctic cat cross reference number for springs. I can confirm that the yamaha big boy spring 8JX-G7474-10 is the same as Arctic Cat 1704-560. This is for the right side spring.
The clutch on my 2023 Ltx-Le has gotten louder over the first 230km I've put on it. The primary can be moved slightly back and forth when not running. Is this normal?
Managed to get 230km on my new 2023 Ltx-Le before the melt last week. It wasn't terribly cold but I did notice that my waist was very cold. I can't find any wind deflectors from Yamaha however Arctic Cat lists one. Does anyone have these on their sleds? Will they fit a 2023?
Been running the NAPA Gold 1358 filter with Amsoil 0W40 in both our sleds for a few years now. Never had an issue, oil still looks good when I change it every year.
I have this seat on both our sleds. The bolts are a pain so instead I found some 1/4" pins and drilled the holes to match. With a washer on either side I hold them in with cotter pins. The seats are easily and quickly removed. 3 years in and no issues!
We dropped the skid as we found it was easier and quicker then trying to work in a confined space. Looking back I would have done the set screws last.
Other then then the issue with the bearing seating, I am impressed with this part. Just need to get some miles on to see how it holds up.
My buddy's 2015 STX completely spun the bearing on the driveshaft. He ordered BOP's driveshaft bearing repair kit. Took a week or so, being from Canada. The piece looked very good and the quality was top notch, however it did not come with instructions. It looked straight forward enough...
If you have a vacuum bleeder its way quicker. Split the brake caliper on my buddy's sled yesterday to install BOP's new drive shaft bearing kit. Put the caliper back together, kept the reservoir full and let the vacuum run for a couple minutes. Then standard pump and loosen/tighten and repeat...
For what its worth, I swapped the studded ripsaw2 on my Viper last year and went to the Storm 150 studded. The hookup difference was amazing. I'm waiting on delivery of a Winder LTX-LE this fall and will have the dealer swap the track for a Storm 150 which I will stud after it stretches. Just...
I was looking at the same fiche. I had the shaft out completely so the inner clip was also removed. I’ve put it back in but there isn’t enough space between the 2 clips for both gears now. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?
I am working on replacing the track in my RTX. I have the track and driveshaft reinstalled, however I can't remember the parts order inside the chain case. Is there supposed to be a retaining clip between the main lower gear and the bearing? If I put the retaining clip in against the bearing...
