Sorry to piggyback on your thread but am having close to the same issue on my 04 Warrior.
The coolant is coming down the rear drop bracket that the suspension mounts to. I cannot see it leaking anywhere else. Could it be the same issue as with the Apex? Cracked heat exchanger?
The center shock on the 05 Warrior pro action is not rebuildable. I installed a viper shock in mine. I was starting to bottom out allot more than normal so I figured the shock was gone. The front shock in the pro action I believe is rebuildable,
Who will win
Well the nytro jumps my Warrior by about 2 sleds till about 80 mph then I can reel him in. The nytros are really quick till about 80-90. Always fun though.
Buddy just bought a 2012 Nytro RTX. Thinks he is going to smoke my 05 Rx-1 Warrior. How close will it be? I'll find out this weekend that is for sure...............
Shock
We have 2 RX-1 Warriors in the house. Both sleds have Viper shocks in them. The shocks were rebuilt before installation into the sleds. They are a bit shorter but nothing of consequence. Both ride much better with the viper shock in them. Most times you can buy the shock (either on...
Exhaust Gaskets
How many miles on your warrior? I thought the header pipes were stainless and there was not much to worry about. Sounds like I was way wrong. My Warrior has 5000 miles on it and have not had the problem yet......... Some more maintenance this summer
Bushings
Just replaced the A Arm and bulk head bushings on my sons 04 Warrior. It has 5400 miles on it. The bulk head bushings were bad with some of them gone completly. The a arm bushings were in decent shape and could of gone a few more thousand miles.
Bearings
Dennis Kirk also sells a bearing package for the jack shaft and the drive shaft. It is around $77.00 shipped. I just purchased one last week for my 05 Warrior with 5000 miles on it.
Warrior Shock
I was in the same boat. 05 Warrior shock was shot. I bought a Viper shock (They will fit the Warrior & are rebuildable) off Ebay having it revalved and a big boy spring put on it at Pioneer Motorsports.
Your front suspension shock is rebuildable.
Have an 04 & 05 Warrior, each has about 5000 miles on it. The W arms on the suspensions have been beefed up but the rest of the sleds have not been touched. (gas and go What a great concept!!!). Plan on doing some maintenance this summer and from what I have read on here I plan on doing the...
Where can I get info on the eye to eye specs for the front and rear shocks on yamaha snowmobiles. I am looking to get rid of the non rebuildable rear shock on my warrior and need to know the eye to eye distance of the shock. Would not like to spend a fortune, thought I read somewhere that...
Belts
The original one on my Warrior went at 2200 miles. It shredded and wrapped around the clutches. It took an hour to get all the pieces out of the clutches on the trail. What a pain. I now have 2000 miles on the one in my sled and am going to change it this week.
Sgilbert Thanks for the reply, I thought that it should be nose up but I did not know if it would cause any problems with the carbs and plugs.
I actually do ride them all winter but have run out of storage area this winter and want them under cover. under my back deck is the cheapest...
I am comtemplating storing my 2 RX-1 Warriors under my back deck for the winter months. (It will be enclosed) Only problem is that the land under the deck has a pretty steep grade (3 foot rise or drop over the length of the sled). Will storing them on a grade be a concern?
Trying to make a good decision regarding my suspension in the 05 Warrior. Is a 121 inch suspension with an extension on it the same as a normal 136 inch suspension? If not what is the difference and will it matter?
