    RX Warrior not running right

I found a post on checking fuel bowl levels. I cut a piece of tubing and verified all the levels are even with the top of the bowl. All were the same and right where they should be. I tested for lean earlier by covering some of the holes in the airbox and moving the needles down, so i figured...

    RX Warrior not running right

Screens have been removed and cleaned, and soaked in seafoam and cleaned some more. Orings on the inlet needles are good. It is not flooding and pushing fuel out the vents. Float levels were all checked when cleaning and are all level and in spec.

    RX Warrior not running right

What makes this so frustrating is it ran good for a while. Then performance dimminished. Was able to get it back for a short while by cleaning the carbs and then it diminished again. I've cleaned these carbs so many times I know them like the back of my hand. I must be missing something...

    Modified Rx1 Airbox With Pictures

I covered holes in the bottom, as well as moved the clips 2 slots up (one slot up from stock) and the bog is still there.

    Modified Rx1 Airbox With Pictures

Guy's, After some initial problems with this mod and an adjustment of moving a clip this mod worked great, but I have not been able to keep the sled going good for more than 100 miles. I have cleaned the carbs many time and even went back to putting a friend's stock setup on and it worked...

    RX Warrior not running right

Guy's, After I had my buddy's carbs on and the sled ran fine I felt the problem was isolated to the carbs. I dissassembled the carbs again and injected all the ports with seafoam let them sit and blew them out until I was 100% sure the ports were clear and I could feel air blowing out of...

rear heat exchanger for 05 RX1

I agree the apex rad would work nice but i always have a ton of ice buildup behind the flap and top of tbe tunnel that i think a rear heat exchanger would help get rid of. Ultimately i plan to do both!

    RX Warrior not running right

I put my buddies set of Stock carbs and airbox on and it runs great! Pulling RPM again (on the stand) and rev's nice and clean. At least it is isolated to the carbs. Can someone please explain to me how the power jet circuit works? This seems to be the area to focus on. Jets themselves...

    RX Warrior not running right

Tank is clean no scum and now has new filters. I am never finding anything in the carbs, supposedly my buddy did but it hasn't run right since then either.

    RX Warrior not running right

Well spent about 2 hours with carb cleaner and compressed air cleaning out the area under the power jets and the power jets themselves. Couldn't tell visually that I made any difference. Put Carbs back on and it idles fine but wont take any throttle. Next step is going to take the carbs and...

    RX Warrior not running right

Hey guys, Issue is still not solved. I finally got around to messing with it today and cleaned the carbs and put new filters in the tank. I drained all the old gas out and cleaned the tank. Hooked everything back up and it idles great, however it dies if you open the throttle. I am going...

    RX Warrior not running right

I had my buddy tow it back with him and he took a look at it. He swore it was carbs and I swore it wasn't because they looked great, well he tore it apart and said they were filthy... May have found the issue. The secondary jets were plugged on all the carbs, it was the one thing I didn't...

    RX Warrior not running right

I looked for this rub a couple years ago and rerouted and wrapped the harness in plastic to prevent this. Also the engine ran perfect with only 2 bars of fuel in the tank prior to my first trip when I filled it up and ran the first tank. Everyone that has heard it is thinking ignition...

    RX Warrior not running right

I was able to pick up a used CDI on my way up to the UP and installed it when I got to Hancock. Didn't change anything. I pulled all the coils off my buddies RX1 that is running fine and no change. If there is a hole in the fuel line in the tank I should be able to see this if I run the...

    05 Vector and 05 RX1 CDI's same?

After a quick look between sleds the size is completely different so I think I answered my question... no.
  17. S

    RX Warrior not running right

Yes all 4 orings were in place when I put the carbs back to stock jetting. It sled idles perfectly and is steady in rpm, the problem happens right after engagement at around 4k rpm to 6K rpm. I did pull the airbox and verified all 4 slides were operating the same under throttle (track...

    05 Vector and 05 RX1 CDI's same?

I noticed they had differerent part numbers, but are they the same?
  19. S

    RX Warrior not running right

No i have not synced the carbs. Unsync'ed carbs would hold rpm and make the motor stumble and backfire and hold 6K rpm's for 3/4 throttle? even though it ran perfect before (for 75 miles at least...)? Put in new plugs gapped to .030, still stumbles. Checked the stator and pickup coil...

    RX Warrior not running right

Checked primary and secondary coil resistance in all 4 coils and all are in spec. I also put the carbs back to stock as well as a stock airbox back on, and no change, still stumbles thru the 4-6K range. Bypassed TORS no change. Going to try new plugs and tank filters next. Then maybe try...
