The guy still has it listed on CL as of the other day.. but now its removed. I was not ready to pull the trigger. Maybe I should have cus it was complete minus the track.. so he said. Ahh well.
^^^
The mono skids tend to crack all over the front arm.. especially where the cross shaft is welded to the arms. Look closely at these areas.
And to the person who said the price was high.. Id like to know where you bought an 04 Warrior with 900 miles for $2800? Ill take 2 at that price.
Ya.. issue is that is apart and the owner bought it that way in hopes to fix it.. he does not have the time now (is what he said) and just needs to get rid of it. Motor is out.. head off motor.. just not sure I should pull the trigger and buy it. He saiy he has no idea why the previous owner...
I have 2 RX1's an 03 and an 05 and really never saw the need for widening the front end on them. I just use SLP SLT ski's and call it good. CThe 05 is a little tippy at times but I have not had any handling issues with the 03 whatsoever. The 03 was set up by Woody's performance here in Maine so...
Cat has been ramping up to produce their own 2 strokes in house for a couple years now. I believe Cat will be building their own 600 and 800 and using Yamaha's triple for the 130ish HP sled and the turbo 170ish HP sleds.
Re: Quality Specifications BS...Wake up boys!!!! its still a
News flash.. if you are not riding a sled that is 50lbs heavier in the front you do not need EPS.
As a Cat, Yama, and Doo owner I just wanted to point out that you are incorrect in your statement. Cat had a great partnership with Suzuki motors and Cat felt the need to build their own 2 strokes because that is how company's grow. When they decided to build their own 2 strokes they had 2...
Its really not "funny" Yamaha's are always being propped up to being bullet proof by the magazines and such but it is fact that Yamaha does not know how to weld correctly. Suspension arms break constantly.. exhausts crack constantly.. Why do I never see many people bitching at Yamaha about this...
Both my 05 and 03 warmers seem to get the job done fine. I hate that the 03 resets itself every time I restart the sled. I seem to always have to turn them down not up. I wonder if this is because the gloves I use are fairly thin and not bulky ones?
I never have issues with the warmer temps...
I had tinging noises from under the tank area. Couldnt find the rattle until I took off the seat and saw that the gaskets were shot. The clamps were rattling. Mine was not noticeably louder.. slightly but not horribly, Course I have K&N filters and those are louder then the exhaust while riding. :)
Last year in a pinch when mine started leaking I just ground the clamps down. Didnt even put new gaskets in.. metal to metal.. lol. it worked for the weekend and then I replaced the gaskets. Had plans and no gaskets were in stock around here. If they are not tight just grind em a little.
What about the little O rings on the top of the carbs under the covers? I dont know what they do when they are missing but everyone says if you forget to put them back in the sled will run like crap.
