Got it fixed thanks for the tip
Yes you were right the track sliders were melted to the clips, how would this happen, there was not even a temp light and it was only a 10 minute ride? I know there wasn't enough snow but wouldn't expect it to heat up so fast..
Anyway am i going to need to...
I'm also not sure if they have the redesigned drive system on the Venture, i sold my apex and bought the venture GT (this sled), and yes definately ratcheting even at 40mph if i speed up too fast it slips.
Also i heard that the track is usually too tight from factory but upon high throttle given it slips/ratchets, should i tighten it or leave it? Hoping to have alot of snow soon i assume that will help the problem.
And will this have a long term effect on the brand new sled having run it not...
As you might know i used to drive an Apex ltx 2009, i loved it but i didn't need all the power, loved the strength and liked ditch banging though, will miss that with the new sled. Bought this summer a brand new Venture GT from the dealer, got a little bit of snow and put 50KM on it couldn't...
Thanks :) Yea i wish i had my sled running right now that new snow is awesome and now everyone will be packing it down. Ive bid on that side panel, thanks, next thing i need the most is the gas tank panel it goes on top of the gas tank and has the clips on the side that hold the top of the side...
Yea i was looking there but cannot find any that will fit the apex... They list as apex/vecter/phazer/attak but they are usually for the completely wrong sled.
Im sorry i did i double post but i found both sections to be accurate and this one had more posts and was more active
I was driving along today in our new fallen 2 feet of soft powder and drifts enjoying whats left of winter when my belt started slipping about an hour into the ride when i was...
Wow i feel like an idiot now... I figured it out, it turns out my kill switch was actually down, i ignored everyone thinking since i had no kill switch this was not possible, i found the kill switch down in a hole in my handlebar switches and pulled the plastic in there up with needlenose plyers...
The reason the fuses were blowing is because i was putting the wrong wires togethor when trying to start it (on the ignition switch) and i had run out of fuses so i put the wire in there as something to stop from having to buy those $5 mini fuses from shell. There is no mechanic within 1 hour of...
Well the kill switch has been broken off since i few days after i bought the sled, it may be down but i dont think so, and if it was when using this old ignition the dash lights would not turn on would they?
The fuse in the fusebox is fine i put a thick wire in there so it would stop blowing...
Anyone? Please i need the snowmobile going soon, like i said it turns over while the wire is on the starter from the battery and the ignition is on (guages run, fuel pumps run for a few seconds) yet it won't fire, cleaned plugs off also did not help, it just cranks over no spark on the plugs...
I drive a yamaha apex ltx 2008, i was out riding the other day when i stopped in at a friends farm when it was -30c outside, i went out to start it and there was no power to the ignition what so ever, even though i had blow dried the fuel pump relay like i always have to when its cold there was...
Well for the belt i know i have to replace that but i have to get the clutching done/adjusted at the dealer, it has been using belts every 1000 km since i bought it, now its going through them every 300 so i know there is a problem there, sliders, well the track runs on them right? Ill have to...
Wouldn't that void your waranty?
I was thinking about cutting out the airbox lid/top all around up to the seals where it connects with the hood also just to make it louder/sound better, but are there any other ways to easy/cheaply make it louder, such as taking something out of the exhaust or...
