I've often thought about just created a ram air setup into those velocity stacks on the backside of the intake box with some black pvc tubing that makes a tight seal against the top cover with a frogskin cover. Drill a small hole in the bottom of the tube near the throttle body to allow any...
They will work, they are about 1/2 to 1" longer so back of the spring collars. Also, the bushing mount may need to be ground down if its too wide by 2mm on either side (depends on year of shock), but its a simple mod. They work real nice on my phazer.
Based on my recent snapped secondary shaft and exploration in the transmission/gear case, I can tell you CHECK ALL YOUR BOLTS.
My entire brake assembly was loose, but of course the metal hanger for my relays was bolted on at 150ft pds. :( When we went to remove the transmission we also...
I'm guessing its the schmidt brothers kit.
I would experiment with the stock setup and add the heaviest weights possible so the wieght is close to 48.5.g. Its simple to replace the existing rivits in your stock weights.
If I was going to spend the money though, I would get the...
Right next to the battery, just in front of it towards the sks (assuming its the same as an 07. I'd also check the common ground for a fault, the 07s has this issue so they needed a new harness, could be a longshot but its worth checking anyhow.
The starter is an annoyance on the Phazer. At this point I would search the forum for the starter thread on how do DIY the starter fix, and at the same time figure out the oil change and save yourself $140/shot.
If the starter is going reverse, the poles have moved. I believe it can be...
There have been numerous threads on clutching and the primary message, for those below 2000ft is go with the heaviest weights you can. I've found that 48.1 total weight at 1500ft is still not enough. I hit the rev limiter about 5 times still and total shift out rpm is still settling in at...
I'd look for the weights in the 47.9-48.1 range...total weight. I run 48.1g at 1000ft and am going to 48.5g next cause I still hit the rev limiter a bit at times. My 10k wieghts were 46.4g for reference and they were too light so I went to 47g and that was really good for Togwotee.
The RTX are 2500s and they make a big difference and should be near the top of the list for all Phazer owners. Shop around on price though, as I recall they were about $80/piece adn that's the best I found.
There are x-clicks for Phazers, they sell blems on ebay for like $25/pair. $40...
I wieghed my new MTX weights, they were 48.1g on a scale. The ones I had in were 46.4g
Observations:
The 46.4g weights hit hard but I constantly hit the rev limiter.
THe 48.1g weights do not allow me to thit the rev limited at all and pull hard.
I had a pink/blue/pink spring in and...
I know exactly what this is and its a very easy fix. On the airbox in the top rear, there is an aluminum plate held on with three screws. Attached to that plate are two pressure senors/switches. Each of these has a downtube leading into the intake assembly behind the butterfly/injecters...
The thing to know here is that the PCIII is actually a very powerful tool, but by itself, is pretty much useless unless someone has the same identical gear you have in terms of mods. Sure the map will be in the ballpark, but not as good/accurate as a custom map for your specific machine.
So...
