Update. Dealer fixed the sled in a day and brought it back. Said a hose clamp was lose causing the oil leak and a ground wire was disconnected in the harness somewhere. Either way she is fixed and back up and running. This thing is awesome!!!
I didn’t check any of the relays. I’ll see if I swap them around if things start working. I called the dealer today and they are going to pick it up next week. It’s leaking oil too. Geez where is the quality control on these things.
Just got a new 23 ltxgt. Power steering is phenomenal!!! Anyways none of the 12v plugs work, cigarette lighter, heated helmet, and accessory plug behind right foot well. I checked the fuses in the front of the sled and they are all good. Anybody got any ideas for a simple fix before I take...
I just want to say to the original poster THANK YOU!!! I did this project years ago to my sled and it is still working great and the lights on my sled are still the brightest out there. I bought a new sidewinder this year and it comes with LED lights this upgrade is still brighter!!!
So I used 55w HID's and installed projector lenses in my sled. I agree that rock makes a nice product however his and everyone else who just throw HID's into their sled really piss me off when you are coming at them head on. The light is unfocused and obnoxiously bright because of the spill...
The sled is a 2012 Apex XTX so while it was 8 years old when it happened the sled only has 3000 miles on it. Maybe I just got a bad one idk. Seems like it wore out pretty fast. The repair was $1100 so kinda pricy in my book. The dealer did a good job fixing it and getting it back to me in a...
My stator went out on my sled and the dealer claims it was because of my HID headlights. He put stock bulbs back in it and I just can't stand it. Should I go back to HIDs or try a set of LEDs? Thoughts and suggestions please.
Not sure if I’m allowed to post this if not feel free to remove it. I’m selling my 12 xtx in northern Wisconsin. Has 4000 miles on it. One owner never wrecked or rolled. All stock except the track which is a prestudded ice attack xt. Feel free to pm me if interested.
Only 3800 miles.... 2012 Apex XTX
On the bright side my wife said to me why don't you buy a new one and I'll give you a $1000 for the down payment. She texted it to me so I have proof that really happened. What a keeper.
But I declined I just don't see myself on a sidewinder. But I did ask...
Thanks for the reply but I'm not sure how to translate what you said into solving my problem. Could you or someone else give me some more details?
If this helps any prior to the lights and error codes on my previous ride the sled started dying at stop signs. It would do it about 50% of the...
While riding my sled the other day the check engine and yellow light began flashing and it gave code 46. The light would flash for a few minutes and while it was flashing the sled would lose power and run very rough. If I took my hand off the throttle it would die on me. Then the light would...
I’m following this thread. I’m getting kinda bored with my xtx but being a 12 with only 3500 miles I know it has a ton of life left in it. Plus there just isn’t anything out there that excites me. I rode a new sidewinder but while it pulls hard Id be afraid to hold it wide open across a lake...
Just an idea for you. I was trying to figure out the best headlight setup a few years back and found this. I have been running projectors with HIDs for 4 years with 0 problems and they are still the brightest most focused thing on the trail...
i got a weird problem but hopefully a simple fix. Sometimes my high beams won’t stay on. I’ll push the button and they will click on for a second and then go back to the low beams. I have to click the button 15 - 20 times before they stay on. Hen the next time I’ll click it one time and it...
I've never greased my driveshaft or jackshaft bearings before. When doing this I noticed there is allot of play in the drive shaft. Is this normal? Or does the chain need to be tightened? Or something else? Here is a link to a short video I posted on YouTube. Thanks
I have a 14 Viper short track. My wife rides the sled and she complains that it is darty. What skies can I put on it so it is a nice easy handling machine with proper trail manners?
Thanks
So how much does it cost to do all that? I've been thinking about the same thing for my 12 xtx. I feel the sled rides and handles great on decent trails but on the rough stuff the sled just beats and bucks the hell out of me.
