I have 1550 miles on my 2010 Vector LTX and really like the ride!! Installed Woody's Slim Jim 6" Doolys and went with the 8FT96 -20 Blue Shard windshield which matches the sled graphics very nicely. Now able to keep up with my 2 son's on their 07 Attacks. Slide wear has gotten better as the sled...
Slide wear
I have 450 miles on my '10 Vector LTX and noticed some significant slide wear. The right slide is wearing faster than the left. Checked my track . alignment and it was too far to the right so maybe that was the problem. I agree that you should run the track looser than specs. Is...
I purchased some bicycle chain lube in an aeresol spray to lubricate my bogie wheels. With the track off the ground and a broom handle between the track and rail, spin each bogie while spraying the oil onto both sides of the bearing. You will be amazed at how this frees them up. If the bearing...
Getting my new 2010 Vector LTX GT set up for groomed trail riding. With no studs what should I use for carbides? Dooly or Deuce bars, 6" or 8"? I notice they now make a Slim Jim Dooly. Thanks for any advice!

This is how I clean my Vector carbs:
1. Remove air cleaner to expose carbs
2. Using a metric allen wrench remove drain from bottom of carb. ( do one carb at a time and stuff a rag underneath it to catch draining gas)
3. Take a can of aresol spray carb cleaner such as Gum-Out (using the red...
Rear heat exchanger
Deerhunter1, before you spend a lot of $ on a heat exchanger, go to your nearest auto parts store and pick up some Water Wetter for the cooling system. Drain off some coolant and replace with this product. It eliminates air bubbles in the system which causes heat. I was...
2010 Vector
I am very impressed with all the improvements Yamaha made to the new Vector. They certainly have been listening to what current owners have been asking for. I purchased a new Vector back in '05 and just turned 12,000 miles. It has been the best Yamaha I have ever owned, and that has...
