Don't recommend doing this. Just find new/ used shocks, a arms and steering rods on eBay or from someone parting an MTX out. Cutting/ welding major suspension components this way is a recipe for ending up crashed into a tree, or worse.

They will bolt right on, but they are very, very narrow for anything but boondocking and sidehilling. Forget the trails. It'll take more than just the a arms -- you'll need shorter shocks, shorter Steering rods, can just remove the sway bar, then you should be good.

Try it out and report back after logging some miles, to see if it holds.

That new Viper xtx is a really nice sled.

Very true. Except right now they are like three generations behind on all their chassis, except for the Viper that is. And I would really like to see Yamaha have a 2 stroke choice, for those of us who want one.

The viper will be an awesome sled and will go plenty fast. Who cares whether is beats the nytro or not, anyways. I don't think the viper was designed as a racer, anyways.

If the lighter viper sled is slower, it's air box, rear exhaust, or skid. Or a combination of all 3.

Man I remember last spring a few members pointing out the nytro was faster. This is corroborating those suspicions I guess. Oh well. Maybe the yammi skid is more efficient than the cat skid.

What, they're not selling the viper in Russia? Not a Yamaha technically, but you could just by an Arctic Cat with the yammi motor. Just saying.

I agree, for Snow-X racing pick one of the other 3, not Yamaha. The Polaris would be a good choice.

As in don't get it stuck???!!!! Lol!!!! I had one for a season -- and it was heavily modified, and it was a real handful for me. I think the key is gradual turns boon docking in open areas, don't try to get into technical areas with the sled. And obviously keep on the gas at all...
