How long are they gonna continue the procross anyway? They have a new chassis for both the 600 and 880 that’s coming in 2025. They’re never gonna keep this chassis for a couple of models. Run the precision shaft saver…. It’s cheaper….and be done with it.
Absolutely sounds like it’s chassis related if applying the brake stops it. I battled knock for the first year I had my 2017. Tried everything. Finally chased it back to a bad sensor on the front of the motor. Mix up some C16. If you still get knock it’s a chassis issue or knock sensor.
I would take some tip weight out and spin it a little higher... 9100-9150. That will usually help with knock. Or find that 96 octane or T4 and splash a few gallons in each tank.
Get rid of the double plates.... Run all singles.... better scratch lines and less of a chance of a tear out or grabbing a stone and taking out a heat exchanger.
Why even try at this point..... Trails in WI are closed or horrible if open, forecast for the next 2 weeks shows "well above average" temps.... Save a bunch of money and buy one with 50 miles on it in March.
Because dude. They advertise specifically the SRX and Tcat as sitting 1” lower ride height in 2020-2021. So theirs obviously something goddamn different.
