I replaced my donuts with copper at 10k miles. I also replaced all 4 flex pipes with oem. $100 each. Previously I had replaced the donuts with oem every 3k miles. 1st time I had to replace both y-pipes with stainless. $180 each. I made a better hanger for the y-pipes also. I have 18k+ miles on...
This is what I have...I want to cut the tube on either side and use the shaft from the original and put the wheels on the main shaft using the spacers from my old one.
Ok here's what I did. I stretched my 121 to a 136 using the old pivot arms and the rails from an ltx. It's been working great for 2 years. My current w-arm is fine, I was just going to change it out for peace of mind since its 15 years old. Found one from a 2012 vector for $100. So, can I cut...
Turns out the cross shaft is longer. I'm gonna have to cut it on each side and use the old shaft. Mine has the large wheels mounted there. I believe the vector had those wheels mounted to the tunnel
I put one on my 06 Apex ER when I stretched it out to a 136. I like it. No problems. I have a Talon 1.5" no studs. Brought my sled up to the next level. About 1300 miles on it so far.
You'd be lucky to get 3k. If you dont want to fix it, part it out. 1500 to 2000 just for the motor. I'm in ny and 06 -08 apexes are going for 1500 to 2500 max. I've done all that stuff you mentioned myself. You can get all the procedures her on this site. Call it a season and fix it over the...
X3 on the excell wheels. I run the track loose. When up on a stand idling the track moves slowly. I get 2-3 seasons out of the cheap sliders. Never had rail problems running the excels. 14,445 miles. 5 sets of slides.
My lower chain case bearing has no seal on the oil side. Factory installed. I've had 8 different sleds in my life and none had a seal on the oil side. Do what you want but I ALWAYS make sure the seal is toward the tunnel. My Ape is an 06 and has 14,600 miles. Bearing still good.
